Brimstone (1998–1999)
Wonderfully character driven show
14 April 2005
Sometimes, a television show comes along that goes against the grain. It doesn't play to any requirements to be successful...it allows the public to judge for itself whether they like it or not. This is TV on the edge. This supernatural story ultimately comes down to the relationship between the two main characters, one a tortured soul, the other his tormentor.

Despite the cracking storyline from week to week, the underlying story is remarkably developed. The true beauty of the show is each episode can be seen as a 'stand alone' or as a wonderful slice of religious science fiction. However, the series from start to finish leaves you with the feeling of hope for its main character.

Truly outrageous, gripping TV
14 April 2005
Knew nothing about the show, it wasn't advertised here in ireland, I had no idea stephen king was even involved. Its shown at 1am in the morning over here. I couldn't believe what I was watching, truly gripping sumptuously atmospheric television.

Its genuinely creepy and has a wonderfully unsettling effect. A show that grabs attention and holds it for the hour. There is nothing like TV that is alternative. Something out of the ordinary. Some shows come with a huge campaign to promote them, but some of the greatest TV grabs you by the jacket and shakes you. This is one of those shows,it speaks for itself.

This show is up there with 'Brimstone', the first series of 'Millenium' and the amazing 'American Gothic'. Its original, its pacey, its TV on the edge.
