Wild Hearts (2006)
This is a great story, like so many of the shows that have been on Hallmark a great family type show. It would be a show that would be a great series. I liked the characters and the actors who played them well , most of them have been favorites of mine for a long time. We need more shows like this, something that the family can sit down together and watch without any bad language or scenes that need to be censored. The scenery was beautiful and the animals were great.. Reminded me of one of the old time Walt Disney movies that I enjoyed as a young girl. Good triumphed over evil that is the way it should always be. The young people did a great job as well as the old pros.
American Outlaws (2001)
A good movie
The only thing about this movie is that it make the James , Younger gang into hero's. They were kind of Robin Hoods of their day , but this movie really glorifies what they did. They were fighting for their homes, against the enemy the railroad. They had fought for years for their homes against the the Northern army only to come home and find that there homes were in danger by another enemy. Don't get me wrong, I would have been mad too, but they killed lawmen and innocent townspeople when they robbed the trains and banks. I did like the human aspect of the movie that Jessie fell in love and that the family's, cousins were close. I believe that part was most likely true.
Johnny is Elvis
This guy is the best Elvis impersonator I have ever seen, I realize that he did not sing the songs, but he had the moves the actions, he looked like a young Elvis, I had the chance to see King Creole Sunday Morning on AMC and this boy looked just like Elvis did when that movie was made. CBS thanks for reminding us of how great a superstar Elvis Presley was , I was just a kid when he died , but I can remember watching the specials and I cried when he died. My mom got to see him at the Hayride, and tells me about her memories often. We need more movies like these, someone said it did not last long enough really fast while were watching it we could of watched all night.
This is a true story , it actually took place in the town that where I live. The guy was very wrong doing what he did and should have been stopped, who knows where he would have taped next. The story was well acted but could have been better, the sets could have been truer. I am not sure where they acutely filmed the movie, I do not think that it was where it actually took place. The scenery wast not anything like what it looks like around here, that is the only problem that I had with the movie. The actors did a good job of acting. If this deterred anyone else or made aware anyone else as to these things actually happening it was a good thing.
True Women (1997)
This is a story of not just womens rights but their struggle getting those rights. The western frontier was hard gained by men and more importantly women. So many women were left alone while men hunted or sought their riches, leaving them to take care of the home, children, maintaining the farms , while fighting the elements and the natives. This show gave a picture of all of this. It was well acted and showed the women as well as the men as strong people. It seemed that the storyline was accurate with the settling of Texas. The Civil War was felt deep in the heart of Texas , with both North and South being fought for by the Texan men.
This movie shows the caring side of Diana. She was a lovely young woman who cared for her boys very much and she also cared for the less fortunate of the world and the way she cared about those effected by land mines. I imagine that if she had been alive now with the disaster of the tsunami would have been one of the first to help. The lady who portrayed the princess did a wonderful job , she looks very much like her and carried her self like a real princess. It was so sad when she died in the movie it brought back many memories of the day of the accident and the days that followed.
That was a sad day for England and a sad day for the world.
