Oh, I'm also pretty sure I can't live without Doctor Who. :)
I'll be honest. It really was an okay movie. While no one can replace Julian Sands, Bruce Payne did a pretty good job as The Warlock. He played the facade of good well (as Phillip Covington) and he played his true evil self (The Warlock) even better. It was a treat to watch him act in this movie. Ashley Laurence did a good job of playing Kris as well, her performance wasn't too over the top, and she still managed to play the part fairly accurately. I went into this movie expecting something more akin to the original movies, and I was absolutely devastated that Julian Sands wasn't playing The Warlock. I was skeptical about it, but in the end, I was rather pleased with how it turned out.
Wolf Creek (2005)
Yeah... I wouldn't see if it I were you...
This movie... Well, it was basically an hour of useless crap leading up to a half an hour of senseless violence. I mean, it's supposed to be based on a true story, but it really wasn't that great. Look at The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, based on a true story. The story it was based on was that of Ed Gein. Nothing remotely resembling the events in Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They could have done something to the first hour to make it entertaining. I was about ready to get up and leave just as the action picked up. The violence was graphic, and done well, but it took so long to get to it. I almost fell asleep more than once during the beginning. I guess if you're hardcore into movie violence and feel like waiting an hour to see some good stuff, this movie is for you, but other than that, I really wouldn't bother.
Prison of the Dead (2000)
Awesomely bad... o.o
AHAHA... I rented this movie back when I was in 8th grade and having a movie night with a friend. We were like "oo, this sounds really scary!" So we watched it, and laughed our butts off the whole way through. In all honest, the only thing I remember from the movie is "oo, zombie sex!" Well, that, and the acting was not that great. I think this would be a good movie to watch if you're stoned, drunk, or both. Maybe not event then. I don't know. I'm notorious for liking bad movies, and even I didn't like it. That should say something. This movie is so not memorable, that I can't even think of ten lines to write about it. I seem to remember the cheesy graphics though. Oh, I also remember thinking that the girl who ends up being the zombie for the "zombie sex" was pretty hot.
