Huo yuanjia (2006)
a great Wu-Shu movie about a great Wu-Shu master
I watched it just now,
and never expected it to be so good~ it is NO documentary, yet I could see how much heart
Jet Li's put in this movie.
The story is somewhat short, yet with natural and detailed growth of Huo Yuanjia into a real master. Only thing is about the ending, tense and sudden, which I think still has space to grow...
All and All, a thrill it is. Inspiring, definitely.
(btw, I heard this is the last serious Wu-Shu movie of his,
is this for real? such a shame~ cos I really like this one...:()
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002)
felt like being fed 1000 bugs
I felt like fed 1000 bugs after watching this movie, and couldn't calm myself down for like an hour... I will gave it a 10 in terms of sickening originality. Interesting movie, but AWFUL,AWFUL,AWFUL soundtrack It's like a practical joke on the audience it'll put something crawling in your stomach obviously you need to be very well prepared to watch this, let alone get any fun.... My suggestion: watch it if you are really bored of having a relaxed stomach. UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
EUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~~~~~~~~~~ I'm speechless. this "comical" movie puts every other comedy in grace.
Pretty in Pink (1986)
stereotype 80's movie, I was not impressed
stereotype 80's movie, I was not impressed at all. 2 exceptions: The 1st was when Iona said "why can't people be old and grow younger", which I once wondered, and 2nd was when (at the prom) Duckie couldn't believe his eyes that a beautiful girl was waving to him and looked around and pointed to himself, which is a rare moment of the movie that brings a sense for real. ---Those 2extra are better acted than the main characters.
The story is not fully developed, Andie is not pretty enough to make every boy drooling for her believable, which wouldn't have been a problem if only not all characters are so weak and over simple.
