Would strongly recommend it. Loved every minute of it. My only gripe would probably be the story, but most people don't see these movies for that kind of stuff.

The power of The Bridgekeeper is the attention for detail. The small inventions are so beautiful it's a sin to even mention them.

Bridges (1996)

Impressive short

I saw this film on a huge canvas in Locarno on the Piazza Grande. Bridges is a requiem for the old lift bridge in Rotterdam, which Joris Ievens immortalized in De Brug in 1928. Rijneke quotes both that film and Ivens "Rain in a silent image rhapsody: a sober declaration of love and bridge with great cinematography by Rijneke and beautiful music by Zbignieuw Preisner.
