Isn't It Romantic (2019)
A romcom for us who don't like romcoms....
...Because the emphasis is on the com, not the rom. Takes all the cliches of romcoms and cranks them up to eleven. It's not the greatest movie of all time, but it never intend to be. It's a parody, it's light, it's funny, I had a good laugh. Kudos to Rebel Wilson who delivers a more subdued performance than in other movies I've seen her in, which makes her acting way better.
House M.D.: One Day, One Room (2007)
I agree with the bad critics
I understand, though, the people who gave this lame excuse for an episode a high rating: they're probably Cameron clones, and feel delighted at this glimpse into House's damaged soul. They're convinced there's a sweet, fluffy House inside the snarky git we're used to seeing and cheer at this chance to be proved right.
Fluffy!House, however, is well suited only to fan-fiction. The real House IS as snarky as he looks, and though he does sparingly show some humanity and care for fellow humans (sorry for the redundancy), a whole episode of psycho-path-analyzing him is just nauseating (so I hated the last episode of season 2, also). Specially when the 'analist' in question is a girl of such beauty House would normally look and comment lustily at. Oh, no, I get it, the fact that he refrains from it is just another hint of how much he *feels* and *relates* to her and her abuse.
The "I'm damaged because my daddy inflicted Victorian punishments to me" hint is pathetic, and in my opinion, out of character. He's always seemed the sort of guy who's the way he is because that's how he is, not because of a clichéd abuse history. His reactions to abused/neglected children in past episodes would only support my opinion. And though the House we know would probably refrain from mocking a raped woman, he certainly would not take half the crap he takes from Eve.
