Mop That! (2006)
10/10
A powerful journey that will move you to unknown places.
6 December 2006
Don't get me wrong- Mop That! is not your average run of the mill drama. Instead, it raises issues which lie at the core of our very own lives and makes the viewer question the very existence of humanity on this planet.

The character development in this film is second to none, drawing the viewer in and creating a realism never reached before in modern film making. Bailey plays the role of a lifetime as the Evil Store Manager, while Broitman convinces us with ease that his role as Mop Boy was the one he was born to play, embracing his character with a passion that puts movie greats such as Brando and Hoffman to a quivering shame. As the Sexy Customer, Shute provides us with a moving character who is truly pivotal to the movie's plot line, which proves to be colourful yet painfully true to life.

In short, Mop That! is a tough story that will take the viewer on an emotional roller-coaster, but one that causes them to dismiss their previous moral values and see the world for what it really is. This film is an undeniable commentary for our times.
