Redeeming the Star Wars name
Really good! It delivered even better than I expected. It is better than AOTC and TPM Combined!
George Lucas once said a special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing. He seemed to forget about that in the last film but hes finally realizing that what he said and went by in the OT was true.
Pretty good acting from all the cast. Even HAYDEN AND NATALIE!
Perfect acting by Ian McDiarmid as Sidious/Palpatine and nice acting by Christopher Lee and Ewan McGregor as well.
Memorable moments of your favorite jedi being killed.Plo Koon Kit Fisto Mace Windu Ki Adi Mundi and more.
If there is one downside to this movie its that the battle droids new voice is really......Annoying Bad etc. and the slightly comical No scene at the end.
So forget the scars AOTC andTPM left behind,This movie is easily worth the 7.oo.
Right up there with the original trilogy 4 3/4 out of 5
My Favorite Spielberg Movie
The best Steven Spielberg movie of all time. You really have to see this one. It has an all star cast including John Belushi, Dan Ackroyd, John Candy, Robert Stack, and Lorraine Gary. I haven't had this much fun with a movie in a long time.
If only the characters had more time on screen this would truly be a classic in comparison with the greats. And while Candy didn't have much time on screen the time he did have was great. And who doesn't want to see Robert Stack obsessed with the movie Dumbo, while Christopher Lee Slim Pickens and Toshiro Mifune argue (in different languages) about where Hollywood is and if its "honorable" enough to destroy.
If you haven't seen this you really need to and the fact that you can get it between 5-7.00 makes this even better.
Flight of the Phoenix (2004)
Good Movie For A Saturday Night.
It was a really good movie to spend a Saturday night and in my opinion better than the original. (though I really didn't like that one) Most of the cast did a fine job of acting. Dennis Quaid is an exception. He really gives a lackluster performance in this one. Giovvani Ribisi and Hugh Laurie did the best in my opinion. Ribisi is some freaky airplane designer that gives an emotionless performance that perfectly suits his character. Laurie is a "important" business man that gives a performance that is funny and sarcastic but serious at the same time. Like he does in House.
The special effects are so-so and I didn't feel like the plane crash was that exciting. Some of them are okay. Like the numerous electric sand storms.
In short its a good movie to watch on a Saturday night and maybe watch a second time.
