The Goodwin Games (2013)
I have now watched all available 7 Episodes from Goodwin Games and have to say it's definitely one of the better sitcoms in recent times. The characters are kind of freaky but really act well in their roles. It creates some funny moments and the whole plot creates interest and endless possibilities. What I really like about this series is there are no forced dramas or setup awkward situations. Everything has a really nice and enjoyable tone and every episode so far left me with a feeling of happiness. After 7 Episodes I would love to see more, and if rumors are true and it's canceled... shame on you FOX. At least one full season ( ~20 episodes ) in which you end the main plot would be great.
I really recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a good sense of humor and subliminal jokes.
The Following (2013)
I wanted to like this series as I really enjoy some films with serial killer topics, and hoped it would be as thrilling as Dexter. But to be honest, it's far far behind. The First Episode was really good and kept me wanting more but after halfway of first season I won't complete this series. The story writing gets worse from episode to episode and everything turns to be very unbelievable. It's not worth your time. If you are interested in a series with a similar topic of People following something/someone I would suggest "Cult" as that one provides some mystery and a better plot. This series only gets three stars because of Kevin Bacon who acts very good. Otherwise it would receive one star.
I want to be mystery
I am now about half way through the first Season ( the final episodes will be available at a later point ) and I have to say it's pretty hard to publish a final Opinion but I want to share my feelings till now. The Series starts off in a very interesting and promising way, leading you into the World of Cult. But for me many of the mystery Elements are to obvious and the complexity this series wants to reach isn't very high to be honest. It provides a very unique presentation of a "film in film" setting, what still keeps me interested to find out about the final vision of the creators, but during this journey some of the twists and turns are too easy to spot. If you are a fan of T-Bag, mystery and enjoy some small twists it's worth a watch. But don't expect the quality of a LOST series.
