Johnny Bago (1993)
hey, i'll be in your fan club
yes, all you "Johnny Bago" fans, this could be the place where we unite and discuss the show that only made it a portion of a season--but it was good!!! I honestly didn't even know anyone else had ever seen the show--I loved the humor of his crazy wife chasing after him and never being able to catch him no matter how hard she tried.
Johnny was a great show because it wasn't like the typical prime time cheesy shows they have on these days, it was very original.
One day I tuned into "Johnny Bago" (was it on Thursday nights?) and he wasn't on anymore! Every time I ask someone if they've actually seen the show, they're like "Johnny who?" I'm glad I'm not the only one out there, Johnny Bago fans unite!
Christmas with the Kranks (2004)
slow at first, fun at end
if you're going to only watch the first 20 minutes of a film, don't go to Christmas with the Kranks, but if you're there for the long run, it's worth it. I admit, the first about 15 minutes of the movie... boring, slow, and not worth my time. It's like they were saying things just to say things. HOWEVER, as time went on, I found the movie fun and engaging. I will admit the characters were overly dramatic, but it added to the sarcasm of the movie. The movie is meant to say all the things you don't want to do around the holiday season, while showing the good end of the holiday season. Tim Allen sure knows his Christmas movies!
Garfield: not like the cartoon, but very cute
I thought Garfield was a fun, up-to-date, too cheesy to be real-life depiction of the cartoon that captured us for so long. It's not the humorous kicking-Odie-off-the-table laughs that we had in the cartoon, but it's fun, light-hearted, and adventurous. Garfield, although mean to Odie, has a soft spot for him. Jon still struggles to win the love of Liz, and everyone has room to fill their characters. Although we don't see as much interaction between Garfield's thoughts and Jon's vocal communication, as we did in the cartoons, they coincide their actions in other ways. This movie is a fun-for-all-ages type movie. I definitely recommend it.
