Masters of Horror: Jenifer (2005)
Gore alone--or even with kinky sex--does not a Master of Horror make.
Prosaic and predictable gore-fest. If creating memorable horror was as easy as the makers of this series seem to think it is, all a slaughterhouse owner would have to do is offer a tour and voilá--the next Edgar Allan Poe!
Seen several episodes now and only two things set "Jenifer" apart: a more-than-average enthusiasm for presenting the slaughter of children for our delectation (well, in fairness, one child and one teen. And one kitty cat) and its utter predictability. Its ending was more easily foreseen than the loss of Iraq.
Really beginning to wonder now why I gave it that second star
Oh, right. Boobies.
