This is a list of the one hundred and one films listed in the book "100 norske filmer du må se" (100 Norwegian films you must see), published in 2008.
The list, as stated in the book, is more a list of Norwegian films worth seeing, rather than an attempt to create a definitive list of "the best Norwegian films of all time". Something that's made pretty clear by the inclusion of for instance Aune Sands 1995 film Dis - en historie om kjærlighet. A film that is in fact commonly known as the "the worst Norwegian film of all time", but is also known as a film that i so bad it's hilarious. But the list is first and foremost a presentation of lots of evidence that Norwegian film is better than it's reputation.
This is the list of 100 best films of the '00s (2000-2009) according to the major Norwegian internett film site montages.no. This list was published on their site in seven parts in January and February of 2010. This top 100-list includes 103 films as in the original list The Lord of the Rings-trilogy, and the Kill Bill-films where only given one list spot each.
