This is a documentary, NOT the actual play.
26 July 2019
I have watched this documentary last May 2019 and read the reviews. I find it funny that they are reviewing the play and not this documentary.

I will not review this, as others review this documentary with religious implications. but how they presented this documentary about their struggles to stage this play.

It's very mediocre, lacking in zest/conviction in presenting it. Some interviewees shows emotions which is superficial and not convincing enough that their play is good.

This documentary itself sucks BIG TIME.

A Matter of Opinion
8 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
If you have watched The Falls you will like this 2nd installment

First: it is a solid continuation where they left off because it was explained well what happened to the 2 main characters at the start of the movie

Second: The Attraction between RJ (Nick Ferrucci) and Chris (Benjamin Farmer)is there and very strong...... They're different (RJ is dark while Chris is fair) but same (watch it and you'll know what i mean)

The sex scene between the 2 is meant to be compulsive and not erotic since it's been 5 years since they've had sex with each other

Benjamin Farmer's eyes is so effective that it gets softer at his tender moments but will go steel cold the moment he tries to hide his feelings and you can feel his inner sufferings while delivering his monologues (to Nick)

Third: I don't mind a third installment of this movie considering it's not a big budgeted film and yet it's quite good.....

Lastly:Big Budgeted Sci Fi films in comparison with a small budgeted gay themed film...... really ????? and for the record George Lucas only directed Star Wars and not Empire Strikes Back nor Return of the Jedi for that matter

Pau Maso is a new talent to watch
22 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
A moving story about Aleksandr (Pau Maso who is so good in this film) a young Russian who is illegally bought to New York (USA) by his suicidal mother and a sister who ran away with all their money when their mother died......So he has to fend for himself and in the process become a male whore......

It's also a story of longing for love, shame of being paid for the first time when he thought the very first man to f*** him would take care of him, unknowing incest (watch this and you know what i meant)

My heart went out for Aleksandr especially every time he masturbate when he is depressed (one would not find this erotic but wrenching)

Pau Maso can write, co-direct and act in front of the camera well and this is where he is different from Todd Verow (who have more trashy films especially when he's starring in it than the okay ones) and actor/writer Matt Riddlehoover who's being compared to Woody Allen which is an insult to Allen (There is only one IMDb user who gave positive reviews to his movies)

Who's using whom?????
22 February 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I think the users here are world class pianist Richard Kennington (Paul Rhys) and his manager cum lover Joseph Mansourian (Allan Corduner) is seducing the handsome and talented Paul Porterfield (Kevin Bishop who also plays Jim Hawkins in Muppet Treasure Island) just to have sex with him.....

But Joseph tells Richard that Paul uses them to gets what he wants (what a baloney)

First of all Paul is not poor nor a hustler.....he uses his body to Richard because he loves him and idolize him and let Joseph gives him a blow job because he knows that he is Richard's manager in order to hear news about him......Paul even nick the picture of Richard that the latter gave to his manager

What's wrong in achieving your ambitions?????Paul is still a teen ager and he let those two uses his body but doesn't accept payment and only want to be a world class pianist like Richard......

Kevin Bishop is so wholesome that showing off his body and butt makes me smile.......flawless

Cooking can leads to Rivalry
19 February 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I like this film....it's so refreshingly funny......this film was based on the food writer, Nigel Slater

My only complaint is that Nigel Slater (played by Oscar Kennedy as young Nigel and Freddie Highmore as teenager Nigel) is such a bratty snob who looks down on his stepmother Joan Potter (played marvelously by Helena Bonham Carter) as a lowly cleaner

He should have given her a chance....... for in the beginning of the movie she is kind to him but the latter keeps on rejecting her so Joan develops animosity towards Nigel (with good reason) and instead of kindly asking Joan (who is a superb cook) the recipe for the Lemon Meringue, he secretly spies on her when she's preparing and baking the pie.......

It doesn't say in the film that Joan is only after Nigel's father's money so why downright rude to her????????

Entire cast is great

If you want skin exposure from Marcel Schlutt.....watch porn and not legit gay themed film
7 February 2013
Warning: Spoilers
For a low budget gay themed movie, Alex and Leo is a funny movie and the timing (although not that great) is just right. This is a fiction so anything can happen, for instance, someone as gorgeous as Leo (Marcel Schlutt) can fall for someone as ordinary looking as Alex (Andre Schneider) is not so bizarre.

Marcel Schlutt acting here is okay (meaning not wooden) although i much prefer him in Gefangen (locked Up). He's a porn actor who is playing in, between porn and legit gay themed film (just like Brent Corrigan. who uses Sean Paul Lockhart when doing gay themed film).

The supporting cast are funny, especially the super bitchy friend Toby (Udo Lutz).

For me this is an okay film and not trash, maybe because it's Marcel Schlutt on the cast.

Some expected more skin exposure and if they are expecting that, then watch gay porn and not gay themed film like this
