Batman Begins (2005)
Excellent revival of a once dead franchise.
I may not be Batman's biggest fan, just a fan of certain interpretations, Nolan's is by far my favorite. I love this batman because Chris Nolan and David S. Goyer never raise the question of weather or not he's crazy, but how far is he willing to go to protect the city he loves, that his family made their mission to better. Bruce Wayne is my favorite film superhero, next to Peter Parker because of his humanity, and his dedication. Batman Begins' message is a very human one, we fall so we may pick ourselves up. It explores this message beautifully. Christian Bale plays Bruce Wayne and masterfully brings David S. Goyer's script to life. Michael Caine is Alfred Pennyworth, he is absolutely convincing as one of Bruce's surrogate father. Morgan Freeman as Luscious Fox, enough said. Liam Nesson was perfect as Ras AL Ghul and I would've liked to see more of his character. Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes is...okay, probably the weakest of the cast. And finally Gary Oldman is perfect as Commissioner Gordon. In short Batman Begins is a great character study, with a great script, and immersing atmosphere.
