Cabin Boy (1994)
Wanna Buy a Monkey?
Cinematic genius, the first 15 minutes make this movie well worth it! Letterman's cameo is priceless. After the first 15 minutes, however, the film becomes awful. As soon as Chris Elliot's ship sets sail, so does the plot? The plot just becomes unclear. The lack of character development, terrible script, and Tim Burton's cheesy effects ruin, what had potential to be, a some what entertaining film.
I bought this movie one night at Best Buy when I was drunk, and maybe if you are drunk, too, one might find this entertaining. Otherwise, unless you are a giant Chris Elliot fan, do not purchase this film. Even Brian Doyle Murray, who is usually entertaining gives a poor performance.
I'd suggest "Dude, Wheres My Car" before this terrible film.
"I sure do hate them fancy lads"
Teen Wolf Too (1987)
why, God, why
The movie Teen Wolf was amazing. It ranks in my all time top 10 80s films. Michael J. Fox was brilliant as Scott Howard. It was so magnificent when he turned into the wolf and became a basketball player.
However, the sequel was terrible. Jason Bateman was awful. The most disappointing part, however was the new Stiles. Like Jerry Levine didn't have anything better to do in 1987.
The only reason I ever watched this movie is because it is on the reverse side of Teen Wolf, and I once accidentally put the wrong side in.
Your time would be better spent watching Teen Wolf one in Spanish or French, than watching Teen Wolf Too.
It's Pat (1994)
I've seen a lot of films done based upon popular SNL characters and with the exception of "Wayne's World" and "Wayne's World 2", I would have to say that most of them are cinematic disasters.
However, I would have to say that this one takes the cake as the all time worst. Pat was obnoxious as a character on SNL, and to make a film about Pat.
The only remotely funny part is when Pat sings Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like a Lady", although I liked it better when it was called "Mrs. Doubtfire"
Lorne Michaels, I salute you!
