Cartoon about two kids and some robots, 28 April 2009
8/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

Clang Invasion is a cartoon about two kids, Robin and Daisy. A spaceship from the planet Clang crash landed into their tree and they now have friends in a talking dog, and three robots. They have adventures of all sorts from stopping evil villains taking over the planet to more simple everyday tasks.

The animation style is of that smooth modern cgi type with a flashlike movement, sort of a cross between Kid VS Kat graphically and Atomic Betty in motion. The theme and incidental music is good and has character to it and the characters are quite likable and interesting. The plots are interesting and varied enough to be entertaining despite the fairly obvious moral or plot ending.

All in all an alright cartoon. Nowhere near as good as something like Pepper ann or Doug or a 90s cartoon but compared with the current context it is entertaining enough.

A constant struggle between Coot and Mr Kat, 28 March 2009

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

This show revolves around the adventures of a suburban boy named Coot who has a sister named Millie. They have a pet cat named Mr Kat who just happens to be an evil alien trying to contact his alien friends. Coot has none of this and Millie wants to spend time with Mr Kat, and so, for various reasons, Mr Kat never gets to contact his alien friends for that long. Mr Kat is the villain of the show but one can see why he does what he does and Coot could be seen as one who comes quickly to conclusions- However they do battle quite often in various ways. The animation style is of that new 2D cgi style that is found in Family Guy, Phineas and Ferb and other newer cartoons... The characters are alright... I guess it's an alright show. Not particularly interesting but alright.

Two brothers have fun, 5 March 2009
5/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

Jibber Jabber is about two brothers and their older sister who babysits them whilst their parents are out. No other characters apart from their dog Jelly Roll appear, at least so far (i have seen about five episodes), and when their parents do, it is off camera and only their voices can be heard. The main premise is that the boys get up to lots of mischief (albeit inadvertently under the excuse of having fun and adventure) imagining they are various characters, playing at pirates and so forth. This annoys their sister, Jessica, who is often the villain in their imagination games.

The series is produced using 3d cgi animation and as with most such animations the quality can hardly be commented upon as it is always 'perfect', as it is not drawn in the traditional method. The music is alright, not my taste. The characters and plots, etc etc are all fairly average. The show's entertainment value, at least to me, ranks it somewhere between the weather and antiques roadshow. Not exactly The Simpsons or South Park, but i have nothing against the show on the whole.

All in all alright but not brilliant.

good cartoon, 20 January 2009

This is a funny cartoon about Dave and Fang and some other characters- all great characters. There's this wizard and an evil pig... anyway good cartoon. I think it was in 2005 that i first saw it and 2007 when i last saw it. Now some may think it's a bit boring or weird but i think it's a good cartoon. It's got it's funny moments and good characters and plot and script and stuff and it's a good cartoon to enjoy... so yeah good enjoyable cartoon. Don't think it's worthy of another series or anything tho... it'd probably be all repetitive. I mean the characters re kinda simple when you think about it but overall good cartoon. Not as good as The Replacements of Kim Possible or Phineas and Ferb or wtvr but it beats Brandy and MR Whiskers or that dumb show... i forget the name... Hannah Montana... any day.

Great cartoon, 28 December 2008

Now whilst my fellow Phineas and Ferb fans may hate to admit it, The Replacements is a perfectly fine cartoon. I mean just compare it with say 'Brandy and Mr Whiskers' or 'The Emperor's New School' and you'll see it's not such a bad Disney production, second only at present IMO to Phineas and Ferb which is as good as a 90s cartoon. The Replacements has an interesting art style and characters and plots etc... The jokes are very intelligent and witty and the humour is good. The plots are usually pretty unique... due to the unique nature of the show's premise, that two kids can replace an adult with another one by way of a mysterious organisation called FleemCo. A great cartoon... certainly very entertaining and with great characters...

Three love stories are told in Simpsonian style, 30 July 2008
7/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

I just saw this ep on Tuesday and remembered about how at IMDb they have individual episode commenting. The basic premise of this episode is that Marge and Homer get stuck in a love tunnel ride at a carnival, the trip to which is Homer's idea of a valentines day present to Marge, and three love stories are told with Simpsons characters replacing the original ones. It's an alright episode, but i'm not too big on 'tell a story', 'flashback', 'futureflash' or 'alternate universe' episodes (with the exception of the completely non canon treehouse of horror episodes). the first and last stories are real ones whilst the second is a Disney story. It's not a bad episode but hardly the best of season 19.

Great Cartoon, 23 July 2008

I was watching episodes of pepper ann and saw a link to this on youtube and instantly liked it. it's quite a funny cartoon, quite well written and with some interesting and very unique characters. it is surprising to find out it is a nicktoon when most nicktoons are quite dull now, however this was made in 1993 so i guess that makes sense. the characters are good and the plot and all that... the jokes and script is good and funny and its a good cartoon allround. one of the better 90s cartoons. and the 90s had the best cartoons of all time. i mean compare something like this to the crap on now and you'll see just how great normal cartoons like this are. ten out of ten.

Best Episode, 3 July 2008
10/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

This has to be my favorite episode of The Simpsons. It features some great humour, a original and engaging plot and some memorable moments. When Marge catches Bart trying to draw his name in wet pavement cement she lectures him on town pride and this sticks in Bart's mind. Bart and Milhouse go to the sacred lemon tree on a hill near the border with Shelbyville and soon a fight breaks out between Shelbyville and Springfield kids over the tree when Shelbyville kids, with almost Seinfeld style similarities to Bart and his friends (the episode where Elaine meets these friends who are like alternate universe Seinfeld and friends). Bart and his friends go undercover as Shelbyvillians and Bart is 'caught' when he reveals himself by spray painting a message and telling the Shelbyville kids his true identity. He makes a getaway on skateboard after a failed attempt to use spray paint cans as jet packs and is followed by the leader of the Shelbyville kids. His skateboard gets stuck in some wet cement, an ironic twist. All round good episode.

"Doug" (1991)

one of the best cartoons. follows the adventures of 11 year old Doug Funnie who lives in an American town called Bluffington and has a friend called Skeeter. Great characters, plot etc... first saw this on a plane on holiday back in 2000... saw some eps on youtube. quite a good cartoon. certainly beats most of the crap ones on now. the characters and plots and script and all that are good... plots are good. animation style is good too. Ain't seen enough eps to say whether i prefer the Disney or nick version cos most of the eops I've seen are nick ones, with the exception of the ones i saw on the plane that time which were Disney ones (remember the iopening sequence and basic plot). anyway good show. saw the movie a while back... alright.

sucks, 29 April 2008
1/10

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

This show sucks. it was put on fridays on roller-coaster, and whilst it undoubtedly destroyed the running theme of Friday programming i shall judge it rationally... still i think it sucks. It really is super lame. Zoey and her stupid friends are weak characters and the pot sucks and is really lame.

The lame continuuity and pot sucks and i reckon the dialogue and joes are weak. The weak humour and lame sucky characters suck, and the whole show is frankly a disappointment not worth watching. It sucks and is really, really lame. It really has to be one of the lamest shows on TV, really not worth watching. I mean how lame weak and sucky can a show get before it gets axed?
