I have seen the first one and I thought that this one was of a higher quality in production and acting than the first. The story had me engrossed from the start to the finish with competent effects and sound for the budget. There was a few scenes that I thought were not very good, the protesters outside the office building were not believable. But overall considering that it was never going to be a Hollywood blockbuster due to its budget, I think they did a very good job.
Considering the popular sentiment these days is anti-capitalist and pro big government, I think this movie comes at a critical time. If only more of these types of people will watch the movie and rethink their opinions on government interference in the free market. It won't be surprising when it is not so popular with none Rand readers, as they would probably have hated the book as well.
