I bought this DVD because I'm very interested in the battle in the Ardennes. The cover of the DVD did give me that last push saying: "This thrilling beyond measures thriller of war shows in a precise realistic way how some heroes were prepared to give everything for our freedom." My expectations were way to high to enjoy the movie. It does look more like a nice registration of a well orchestrated reenactment. No historical site seeing, it more like a day in the woods. Another thing, the spoken language is French, not English as the cover reads. If it had french subtitles it would have served me more, studying a little french on the way. I think that if I knew before that this was a B movie, I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

All Your Dead Ones (2011)

The story looks it's told in real time, way too slow

A nice glance at living in the Colombia's countryside. However it's pace is so slow that it will probably be shut off by the majority of incidental viewers. Don't make this your Saturday night blockbuster movie but save it for when you're extreme relaxed. It's a serious story, not much for a laugh. The movie gives an idea of what an encounter with the authorities might look like in the countryside, although my personal experiences were much more positive. The level of horror is besides a pile of good looking sleep alike corpses negligible. The level of sex needs in my humble opinion no age restrictions for the viewer.

Bad Karma (2012)

Crime Thriller

This ain't no bad movie but, in my opinion, a blockbuster neither. It's a story about a messed up ex criminal who's trying hard to start all over again. He found himself a nice woman and got a honest job. He does very well until his old partner in crime is released from jail. This bad hearted ex partner in crime doesn't accept that others build up a decent life and starts to do extreme damage to them.

The movie could have been better if there was a little bit of humor in it, it's just so serious that I got a little bored. The story is nasty but the thrilling moments hardly kept me focused.

This movie is worth watching if you don't expect much and if you're interested in the violent world of drugs and crime. There's even a little chunk of drama present.

The Dinner Club (2010)

A thriller "light" with many pentagram affairs

I haven't read the book but I did read the negative reviews before watching this movie. Therefore I was prepared for the worst. It's not a movie to see if you're tired and better do not drink any alcohol neither since you will need a clear brain to puzzle your way through the story. It's more like a mix of detective and soap than a heavy thriller.

The story centers around a girl who moved with her husband and two kids to a nice and very wealthy district of a Dutch town. Soon she is introduced in a club formed by neighbors, the "Dinner club". When the problems arrive she finds out that not anybody gets along with everybody.
