Zoey 101 (2005)
I was always kind of a Britney fan....but her sister has NO talent what so ever, and neither do any of the other kids on this show. Not only is it bland, ridiculous and terribly annoying, but they seem to have cast the worst actors ever!! Jamie Lynn Spears is living off her sisters fame, which is bad enough on Ashley Simpson. We really don't need anymore of the star's sisters trying to become famous, because clearly it is very rare to have two actor siblings. Jamie Lynn shows no expression, while all the other kids show WAY too much! Save us all from this terrible show! We already have Lizzie Maguire and That's so Raven, we don't need a worse version of them!I'd rather listen endlessly to hit me baby one more time, than watch Zoey 101!
The Libertine (2004)
EXCELLENT movie, EXCELLENT performances
I had the "liberty" of seeing the libertine at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year. Though I am a big Johnny Depp fan, I truly didn't know what to excpect.
Considering the movie started off with Johnny's character 'pleasuring' his wife..... I was a little shocked, but the film really turned itself around and turned out to be funny, sad, disgusting and just a little rude.
I personnaly feel that Johnny Depp gave the most impressive performance of his career, and deserved considerable praise. It was probably one of the more difficult of characters he has played, and in my opinion the most compelling.
Samantha Morton was simply SUPERB playing Johnny's actress lover. She showed her true acting ability, and also portrayed a difficult character with ease.
Laurence Dunmore showed true potential in his debut film, and directed an EXTREMELY controversial piece making it stand out.
In my downright opinion, the Libertine has not received at all as much praise as it should be receiving. It would be a travesty not to release this masterpiece worldwide.
Interesting, and very well done
I was lucky enough to be able to see Haven in the Toronto film festival earlier this year. Considering it wasn't a highly anticipated film, I did not go in with high expectations, but came out extremely pleased.
The cast was very well selected, with an outstanding job by Orlando bloom, Victor Rasuk, Anthony Mackie and Zoe Saldana. The plot was well written, and even though it wasn't the most uplifting of films, it left an impression and I was pleasantly surprised.
Cheers to Frank E flowers, on a great job and an impressive second film.
