The Giant Killer (2017)
Has to be a spoof??
This has to be spoof. An incredible spoof and a well made one, of a story I wish was true (maybe some is, but I doubt it), but it just can't be real! If not just because it's the most incredible, heroic, wild, insane and at times perfect story I've ever heard, but that he was 4"9inches whilst all this happened. Although this is produced incredibly well I should add. 10/20% of the actors just about gave it away but the other 80/90% were just brilliant.
I've googled it and there is a lot of chat about the documentary which almost gives it some legitimacy but the more I searched I couldn't find a single legitimate source that green lit this.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)
How can you not like this?
So many bad reviews when in reality if it was just the same as the original it would have been dated and also panned.
Personally I thought it was brilliant. Much better than I expect which was just for a nostalgic watch. The cast alone convinced me to give it a go and Smith has done an incredible job. He brought it into 2021 yet made it more adult so we can synonymies with it more perfectly.
I quite like that He-Man was pretty much a supporting actor to Teala. At first I wasn't too happy but I bought into the idea quickly.
So many homages to the classic in characters, story's, places, vehicles and more. So much depth it was brilliant almost.
Even wasn't scared to kill off main characters which is bold but made it more credible in my mind.
Can't wait for part two and the next 5 episodes.
Well done!
Glass (2019)
Huge opportunity missed
Heartbreakingly bad. In an age where Marvel and DC are so powerful M Night Shyamalan had the rare opportunity to start a new Superhero franchise. He didn't deliver and not for the first (or second) time in his career has delivered a film overly self indulgent when he'd have been better off giving us what we wanted... a superhero film. 😭
