Inspired by The African Queen
This is a very amusing and interesting segment of Tarzan. It is very clear that it is a delightful adaptation of The African Queen with numerous references.
Julie Harris is a missionary character similar to Katherine Hepburn. Manuel Padilla, Jr. is similar to Humphrey Bogart in being a guide through the African environment. The boat they are on is called "The Jungle Queen" instead of "The African Queen".
I do not wish to take anything away from an magnificent movie as "The African Queen" is and certainly do not wish to diminish "The Perils Of Charity Jones". A delight to watch anytime. Good job everyone.
The Paper Chase (1973)
Mr. Justice Kingsfield
I watched this show in its first year when I wasn't working evening shift.I the first episode it was remarked that Professor Kingsfield had joined the faculty after having resigned from the US Supreme Court. He immediately established that as a court justice he did not like taking arguments from lawyers that did hot have their cases prepared and said lawyers were not ready to present their cases before the Supreme Court. He decided to return to law school to have a hand in training lawyers to know the law and have their cases prepared before going to court, especially the Supreme Court
Tarzan: To Steal the Rising Sun (1967)
Agreeing with Mr. Rodrigues
This series is enjoyable to watch and Ron Ely gave 100% to make it work. As Mr. Rodrigues noted, it was shot in Mexico and there was not much effort to pretend that it should have been in Africa. Another thing to note is how often they used the same actors in guest roles over and over almost like it was a stock company. Jock Mahoney was a guest star four times in the first season playing a different character each time.
Maybe the show was directed at kids and such shortcuts would not have been noticed. Maybe these shortcomings were due to budget restrictions and they had to make do with what they had. The program could have gone on more than two years if the money had been there for location shooting in Africa and better writing and more money to hire more guest stars. I do enjoy watching actors who were starting their careers and those who were getting to work here when maybe opportunities elsewhere may have been limited. No disrespect intended.

Don't Waste Your Time
I have to agree with a previous reviewer. A good western can be made in any nation so this is no reflection on Poland. I also love a good spaghetti western but I was very disappointed with this one. It looks like it was easy fast money and an easy fast credit for Val Kilmer so he was smart to take the job since it was only one day. I hope the next western I see that was made in Poland will be better. It looks like the actors did the best they could with what they had. Hang in there everyone.
