As aforementioned, this film is underrated excellence. Sir Ridley Scott intended to create a masterpiece and he has done nothing short of it. Sure Prometheus may not be as good as the first Alien, but it is definitely a masterpiece in its own right when compared to other lesser sci-fi movies of today. The first thing in the move you will notice are the spectacular visuals and these visuals have to go down as some of the best alongside those in Blade Runner, another Ridley sci-fi classic. It's worth watching in 2-D as the 3-D doesn't add much to it, but it only adds towards straining your eyes. There may be some instances where you think that the script has been 'speechified', as in the script is unnatural however, most of this is done by the Android, David, so you would expect a robot to be slightly better and more literate than a normal human being. The acting in the movie is phenomenal, with the Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender stealing the show with breathtaking brilliance but the side characters, over a dozen of them don't add much to the plot or the movie, nor do they get enough face time like we'd seen in the previous alien films. The music in the film is also another excellent piece that adds to the feeling of suspense and thrill and Ridley Scott has really used the music to make the movie a masterpiece.
Sure it isn't Alien, but Prometheus is a lot different to it as well and is definitely worth a watch, you're money is worth it...well, only in 2D.
The Godfather (1972)
Pure brilliance, cinema at it's best.
Have you ever wanted to watch a movie with decency and class, with elegance and stature. If so, then this is it. The Godfather provides the audience with stunning acting, dialogue and memorable scenes.
The acting is phenomenal, with Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, James Caan and John Cazale all putting forward Oscar worthy performances.
The story is brilliant, director Francis Ford Coppola really put a lot of thought into this and the way the story is shown, it never loses interest, even though the film is two and a half hours long. If you stay focused, you stay amazed.
If the acting and plot weren't good enough, be prepared to be blown away by the classic theme for this movie, the way it is put into the scenes really adds to he grand stature of the movie.
It's a 10/10 and a definite watch for movie lovers with a good taste.
