An okay story line, lack of chemistry.
I didn't read the book Twilight until after I saw the film. The book is 'okay' Stephenie Meyer is not a horrendous writer but she isn't that great either. Would I read Twilight again? Not a chance, do I think it's worth reading once? Sure. This film does not do the book any justice. For starters, and I know this is the most obvious thing in the world, Kristen Stewart has NO emotions. I have seen statues with more facial expressions than her. She is not a very good actress for this role, she lacks depths and does not connect with the role of Bella in any way. This leads onto the next issue, Kristen's lack on emotion has an impact on the chemistry between her and Robert Pattinson a.k.a Edward, in the sense that there was none! Watching their relationship actually felt awkward. Despite all of its faults, the general story line, of Twilight, is decent, a bit clichéd but decent. Also, the sets and sceneries, in the film, I thought were great, they had a real feel to them, edginess and mystery, exactly what you want in a vampire movie. So overall, crap acting, storyline was okay, kudos to the Location manager/scout.
Would I recommend this movie? No.
