Radio Flyer (1992)

All time best movie!
9 December 2012
This movie tells us a tale, where Tom Hanks narrates a dark part of his past. Elijah Wood and Joseph Mazzello star as two the kids who live their life with big dreams. Joseph Mazzello stars as the younger brother who is being abused by his mother's alcoholic intimate who puts Joseph into silence about the entire abuse. Elijah Wood as the older brother, becomes protective and wants to become his hero and so they create a big idea to conquer the bad situation.

It was a successful film because it's easy to relate to with both the dark reality and the imaginary, where we have two bright kids looking for a better way to enjoy their life. Then, we have the drunk father (Adam Baldwin) who you will never see the face of because he is symbolized as a monster throughout the film. This technique allows us to only judge him by his actions.

Radio Flyer is the the waggon; also a symbolism for the dreams they will carry off.

If you are the type of person who enjoys meaningful movies with symbolism's then Radio Flyer is a perfect movie for you.

Also make sure to hold a napkin box because it is bound to make you into a cry baby.

Awesome
7 December 2012
First of all, I read the horrible reviews before watching the movie, and I felt it wasn't fair to just assume it's a bad movie because it was very great one.

Let me begin with the plot of the movie. Basically we are introduced to a group of close teenage friends and brothers where one of them decides to take them on a tour to an isolated environment where all the horror begins.

It's very suspenseful and had me questionable throughout the entire movie.

There were so many scenes that just made me feel helpless for the characters who I must say did an excellent job at playing their roles. You can really feel how close some of their bonds are.

The movie has excellent scare tactics and if you like good gore makeup, pop ups and sad drama scenes then this is a good movie for you.

More like high

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was ridiculous, where do I begin? Well in the beginning of the movie all you see is a half naked woman on the screen, instead of a powerful introduction to make the plot stronger.

That was the biggest problem with the movie. There wasn't a strong enough story to make it a drama. I didn't cry once. I farted instead. I love Danzel Washington, but the movies plot was horrible. I did not even feel any sympathy for the main character who was a drunk cocaine addict that was a pilot.

The plane crash was barely 20 minutes and the entire movie was mostly revolved around a prostitute no one gave a sh*t about and drugs. I felt like I was watching intervention 5 times.

Where was the drama? I thought the movie would have a deep past for Danzel Washington's character but it didn't give enough to satisfy me. All it was in the movie was the crash and him doing cocaine and drinking.

Yawn. I don't get why the co-pilot's wife in the movie was an annoying religious woman who's only line was "praise Jesus!" How freaking annoying. Go to hell!

This movie shouldn't even have a good rating it was a let down.

Life of Pi (2012)

Just like the book
23 November 2012
For those who do not know, Life of Pi is a famous novel written by Yann Martel.

As a person who has read the book, I have to say I am incredibly amazed at how accurate the movie was and how every little detail was incorporated in the novel.

The 3d animations were extraordinary and it was just as I had imagined when I read the book. It was very realistic and the scenes were calming to the mind.

The actors, where do I begin? Amazing just like how I remember them acting like in the book. I never really cry in films, but I did in this one. Very touching, very realistic and very exciting.

I don't remember blinking or breathing at times threw the film. It's an exciting adventure that takes you threw the journey in the eyes of Pi Patel.

Enjoy it!

The Cure (1995)

Real Lesson
16 November 2012
I remember watching this movie as a kid, and the most beautiful thing about movies like this is how you learn something every time watching it as you get older.

This movie is not just about a cure, but a passionate and devoted friendship between an innocent sick boy named Dexter and his neighbour Eric.

As the movie begins, you will see how fast kids perspectives change once they realize that their actions may hurt them for the rest of their lives. You will also realize how much symbolism is involved in the entire film.

It's these kinds of movies that make us feel very insightful and want to discuss the meanings behind the symbolism.

Of course, we also learn about a real truthful friendship and what it really takes to be a good person in someone's life and how people become when they realize that life can be short and we want to be remembered for all our characteristics.

I have to say, this movie was exceptionally done. Every single scene I had my eyes wide open or tearing up over a heart touching scene. I was in awe at every part.

If you like a good moral, clean, sad drama film with a lot of symbolism, this movie is highly recommended for you.

Enjoy it because it is one of the most greatest movies, without a doubt!

Pointless
18 October 2012
The entire plot is ridiculous and extremely boring. You might just pass out from boredom, which is so much better than having to sit through this movie.

What's worse is that all the characters have boring personality types and can't act to begin with.

This is one of those movies where you keep telling yourself that the movie might suddenly take a turn and get better but it never does. It stays as cliché and extremely cheesy threw the whole movie.

Also, when I'm trying to hear the characters speak in the movie, all I hear is the worst music blasting threw their cheesy dialogue. Really? Am I watching a music video or a movie?

I shouldn't have expected anything good about this movie mostly because it is the kind of movie on the channel you never watch that plays late at night so no one sees it.

It's just a waste of space and disgrace to what a real good movie should be.

I hated the movie so much and had to even ask what was the title of the movie a million times just to write a bad review.
