El coche de pedales (2004)
El Loco Mundo De Papa
This movie was released on DVD in the USA with the title 'El Loco Mundo De Papa'. It was released by Venevision International.
The movie credits also date the movie 2003, not 2004 as this IMDb Page suggests.
I tried to add the title to IMDb's database, but unfortunately IMDb makes it virtually impossible for non-industry people to update anything within its system. And that's a shame, because IMDb could simply accept the information and then verify it on their own before applying it. That would be very easy to do and probably take no more than a minute. Meanwhile, there may be people who would like to see this movie on DVD, but might never find it by searching any of the other titles currently associated with this project.
This is an enjoyable Spanish movie with English subtitles. It features Pablo Gomez, who's character is a cute, young boy named Pablito. It's currently available on DVD for purchase, or rental.
The Other Side Of The Law
This movie is a Canada/France co-production, filmed in Canada and in English. I first saw it when it aired on Canadian television with the title 'The Other Side Of The Law'. At the time, it was broadcast as a regular television movie, with no mention of it being a part of any series. I have since collected 'The Other Side Of The Law' on DVD, yet there is no mention of this title anywhere on IMDb that I can find. For those who are interested, 'The Other Side Of The Law' is readily available on DVD for purchase, or for rent, in the U.S. and Canada.
This movie features the young Canadian actor Johnny Morina, who two years before played little Kevin Reevey in the lengthy and stirring Canadian television drama titled 'The Boys Of St. Vincent' - also available on DVD. He gives an equally convincing performance here, although 'The Boys Of St. Vincent' was a much superior and more compelling production than 'The Other Side Of The Law'. Still, Johnny Morina fans will more than likely appreciate the outing.
Dying to see this again...
It's been years since I last saw this movie on television. It never seems to air anymore, as though it has simply been forgotten about. When they used to show it on TV, I saw it several times and loved it just as much each time. I didn't have a VCR back then, otherwise I would have gladly taped it. Even a lousy VHS recording would be better than nothing and this movie doesn't seem to be available for purchase or rent in any format. Carol Burnett and Charles Grodin were an excellent combination for the city-slicker parents going suburban. And David Hollander, their son, was just the cutest little boy. It was a pleasant and humorous movie that left a lasting impression on me and I'm dying to see it again. When, oh when, is this going to be released on DVD??? Isn't it about time???
Het zakmes (1992)
I taped this movie in Canada, where it aired on television as 'The Penknife'. Unfortunately, IMDb doesn't list 'The Penknife' as an alternative title. I eventually found it though, by looking up the actors. IMDb's feature to submit alternative titles is locked to average subscribers like me, but this information ought to be updated by someone who can.
The movie itself isn't what you'd call exciting. It's obviously geared more for children. It's cute though, and a decent time-waster for family members of all ages. Olivier Tuinier, who played the main character 'Mees', is an adorable, often wide-eyed, young boy. He's absolutely delightful to watch.
It would be nice to have this on DVD, with the original audio. The version I taped aired with dubbed English. It would be nice to hear the voices of the original actors.
Transporter 2 (2005)
We loved it !!!
My entire family watched 'Transporter 2' together - ages ranging from 13 to 40 + - and every one of us loved it. We all saw the first Transporter movie together and enjoyed that very much, and we'd all been eagerly awaiting this sequel. And I must say, not one of us was disappointed. In fact, we're all looking forward to the third installment!
Sure, most of the fight scenes and even the car chases are, for the most part, unrealistic. If you're looking for absolute realism, then the Transporter movies may not fit the bill for you. However, if you're looking for a quiet, very likable hero, who can be counted on to get out of any scrape, and conquer the odds no matter what, then chances are you'll find this feature quite entertaining.
Highly recommended viewing, for those who like a little action mixed in with their 'feel good' movie.
Raysond's previous comments about this movie were very useful and much appreciated. However, I am compelled to make one correction:
Mike Lookinland played Bobby on the popular TV series 'The Brady Bunch'. Not "Peter," as raysond suggested. Bobby was the youngest Brady boy (and in my opinion the cutest).
"Peter" was the middle Brady boy and played by the young actor Christopher Knight (who was indeed considered a "teen heartthrob" at the time).
'The Boy from Dead Man's Bayou' is an entertaining family movie and well worth watching. Mike Lookinland would have been about 9 or 10 years of age at the time the film was made. Lets hope this one is released on DVD soon, so fans can own it and enjoy it again and again.
Three for the Road: Pilot (1975)
Great TV Series!
This short-lived weekly drama was about a single dad, who had two boys. The father home-schooled the boys, one a teenager, the other an adolescent, as the three of them traveled around the countryside in a motor-home.
Each week, the show provided a different adventure and a different message. A wholesome show, the entire family could watch.
The gorgeous, blond-haired Leif Garrett played the part of Endy Karras, the youngest boy. Leif Garrett was truly one of the cutest little boys, ever. As an adolescent and teen, he was a genuine heart-throb.
Would love to see this released on DVD.
This was one of the better TV movies I've seen. It deals with a subject rarely depicted, namely 'female obsession'. While most movies these days seem to portray the male as the 'bad' gender, this movie realizes just how scary a female can be when a relationship doesn't go the way she'd like.
This television movie doesn't have the high budget of a major motion picture like 'Fatal Attraction', but still it was quite well done. Intriguing story and believable acting performances from William Devane and Shannen Doherty.
Well worth watching.
