Many miracles in this episode
Lots going on in this episode. Mr & Mrs Alec King are expecting their 4th child. They have 2 girls and a boy. The last time she had a baby was 9 years ago and is fearful. Mrs King is near giving birth.
The head of the education dept Miss Stacey talks to Hetty the teacher and wants to have physical education for the kids starting with 2 soccer teams including schoolmates against each other that have mixed teams of girls and boys.
A business man wants to cut down a lot of trees which residents don't want to have cut. He has a soccer team. He makes a bet that his team can beat the school team and if his team wins he can cut any trees he wants.
Alec King is the soccer coach for the town team. He ends up getting a sprained back while his wife goes into labor. There are a lot of challenges in this episode and town people betting on different teams.
It is a good episode funny, tense and many blessings.
Very funny all about feet
Wabbit meets a leprechaun who wants Wabbit's foot. The leprechaun thinks he owns Wabbit's foot. They fight and argue back and forth about whose foot it is.
The leprechaun then wants both of Wabbit's feet. Wabbit explains the leprechaun would not want his feet because he gets nails and wood stuck in them.
This is so funny they argue like Abbot and Costello's whose on first whose on second routine. Wabbit says my foot leprechaun say my foot, your foot and Wabbit confuses the leprechaun he pulls off his own foot and walks away.
Wabbit gives the leprechaun a leaf he says will bring him luck. He tells him it is a 4 leaf clover. The leprechaun rubs it on his face and realizes it only has 3 leafs and that it is poison ivy and breaks out with blisters on his face.
This series so so funny the images and color, and the animation are great.
Cat in the Hat good info for kids
Cat in the Hat has good information for kids. The characters are beautifully drawn. The animation and backgrounds are great too.
The Cat teaches kids about wild life, the forest, the water and about animals. The Cat teaches kids how animals walk, what they eat, the sounds they make and a lot of nice things. It also teaches kids how to imitate the animals they are learning about. The Cat also has Thing One and Thing Two which are friends of the Cat who help him out and a fish that talks in a fish bowl on the Cat's flying vehicle.
I think the most important thing is that it teaches kids how to behave and have respect for their surroundings and parents. The two kids he talks to Sally and Nick are eager to learn. The Cat always tells them to get permission from their mother to go with him on a learning adventure.
Martin Short is the Cat. He sings and rhymes and is clear and is a great performer and very humorous with his voice.
For anyone even adults needing a break and to relax the Cat in the Hat is funny, the colors are exciting and comforting and you can learn things you did not know.
Scooby is going to inherit something
There were no stars to rate this episode. I would have rated it a 7 or 8.
The gang is going to a mansion on a mountain and the mansion looks scary. The mansions owner's Will is going to be read The late Colonel Lutz is leaving something to Scooby Doo who he believed saved his life. A number of relatives are at the house for the reading of the Will too. They all have to spend a night in the mansion first. One of the relative thinks he is a cat and crawls around and climbs a tree. There is also a set of twin girls.
A phantom is on the loose in the mansion. Daphne thinks it is a game and does not take the seriousness of what is going on. She tries to guess why Shaggy is so scared and makes a game out of it. It is not funny and does not make sense. Scooby is always the hero. Shaggy accuses Scooby of never rescuing him. Shaggy and Scooby are funny and Scooby saves Shaggy again.
The phantom is neon green with skeleton bone for hand and red eyes and mouth. There also is a secret passage in the house. The series is not bad. It is funny in a different way.
This is on for a half hour but there is at lease 10 minutes of advertisement. It is not often that they break for commercials but the last one was from 6:47 PM til 6:51 I counted 14 short commercials McDonald's, Phlast Ball, Mega Blocks, Froggles, FireTek Bow and more one right after the other.. This was not the first break for commercials.
So I wish the sponsors would make the episode longer and put less commercials on.
New Tricks: Ghosts (2014)
Good suspense but
This is the sorry of a senile woman named Nancy who leaves her senior residence, gets on a bus in her nightgown (with money right?!) goes to the police station and tell the cops she knows something about a murder.
UCOS investigates and hears a that her husband Jimmy who was a cop was drunk and fell in the river. His body was never found. It seems the people in that neighborhood were afraid of Jimmy because he was a cop and because he beat his wife and no one would say or do anything.
UCOS gets a hold of Nancy's medical records and seems she was beaten a lot and they think by her husband who was an alcoholic and a gambler. Nancy has a son who interferes when UCOS questions his mother. He looks like he is in his 50's and knows his mother has mental problems.
USCO takes Nancy back to where she used to live to spark her memory. Nancy goes near the fireplace in the house that is 80% bricked up and a few bricks on the ground. This house was sold by the son to pay for his mother's care but no one lives in it. We are supposed to believe that the fireplace was never used or the sold house occupied. UCOS has the house examined to see if they could find Jimmy's body but they find the bones of a baby about 6 months but pre-born wrapped and buried in the fireplace.
A black man named Harry who lived across the street now claims he killed Jimmy. Jimmy owed Harry money. UCOS feels like he is protecting someone they think it is Nancy.
Danny goes to Peggy Butler a friend of Nancy's. Peggy says Jimmy punch Nancy in the belly and she miscarried. Now they know why the baby was 6 months old before he was born and died.
The story was good but as usual that made women the victims and lets them get off the hook.
First of all Nancy was 79 years old and they claim the husbands disappearance was in 1956. That would make Nancy 21 years old and her son is supposed to be 6 years old and she has a baby on the way. Years later Nancy goes on a bus in a night gown and no money? The story is unbelievable.
Nancy did not kill her husband but she knew who did and how he died. The men ask Sasha if she will be arrested and Sasha says "I think she suffered enough don't you?"
Sasha meets her female friend in a bar and the woman say "Christ" and the friend comments on the way Sasha looks. Sasha says it been one of those days.
I hate when anyone uses "Christ" in a disrespectful way.
It has some humor, Gerry thinks someone stole his sandwich so he makes a big stink and fights with Steve. Steve also has a problem with his son using drugs.
So in general the story is hard to believe, and women yet again made and excuses made for their lying and criminal activity.
American Justice biased the way they reported Parents Nightmare
It appears to me that Bill Kurtis narrator for American Justice is biased in the way he reported this story.
Jacklyn Dowaliby a 7 year old girl was missing from her house was found dead later with a rope around her neck and eaten by maggots. The police came to the decision that some one in the house killed this little girl. The mother and father did not want to talk to the police. They later took 2 lie detector test. The mother was two emotional on the second but the father's second test was questionable. Before the police could get all the evidence neighbors cleaned up the outside of the house and interfered with the crime evidence because of this action.
American Justice interviewed friends and the mother of David Dowaliby. David is Jacklyn's adopted father, Cynthia is her birth mother. Jackyln's birth father was in jail. It seemed to me AJ wanted to get David Dowaliby off the hook. The parents were charged with the murder of Jacklyn. AJ could not get interviews from David and Cynthia Dowaliby. They would not talk to the media or take the stand when on trial.
The judge dismissed the charges against Cynthia the mother. Why would she keep quiet. David Dowaliby got found guilty but got away with murder him and his wife, their lawyer at the end got David Dowaliby's conviction reversed. This is not the first time I felt American Justice reported a story in a biased way and interviewed people that agreed with AJ and making it look the the investigators or justice system, and jury got it all wrong.
So now the case is opened again as to who killed young Jacklyn.
I base my opinion on other cases I saw Bill Kurtis commenting on the American Justice series.
The Guilty: Episode #1.1 (2013)
A little boy disappears
He is found dead years later.
This is heartbreaking especially if you lose a child by the hands of someone else.
The boy Callum Reid has a habit of doing what he wants. He is 4 years old. He dresses himself, climbs on the counter to get jars our of the cabinet, eats and unlocks the bolted door and goes skate boarding with his friends without his parents knowing he left the house. He has an older sister that is supposed to watch him but is busy with her boyfriend who is up to no good.
He ends up disappearing after a barbecue where a lot of the adults are drinking. DCI Maggie Brand had investigated his disappearance years ago. A body is found in the garden in the area.
It is heartbreaking to see what the parents go though especially the mother. She drank too much that night and did not check to see if her son was in bed.
You will cry if you see this but I want to see who killed the boy and why. There is a total of 3 episodes, this was the first.
New Tricks: Tender Loving Care (2014)
Drugs, hospital patients, family, doctors, boyfriends etc
This was interesting but I don't like the way some of the talk was. Strickland is not in this episode Lydia is found dead in her apartment after coming from a bar.
This episode is about Lydia stealing drugs, giving them to her sister and more. Lydia works at a hospital. UCOS thinks she was having an affair with the doctor. It comes out later that the doctor was her real father who caught her stealing drugs. A man married to her mother is said to be her father. The man knows he is not Lydia's father.
Suspects--Lydia's real father, her step father, her sister Katya addicted to Oxycodone, her bouncer friend, a patient's husband who died while Lydia had operated on his wife are some of the suspects.
This episode is so full of PC garbage. The actors are all good. The way they deal with crime though is upsetting at times. It is not treated as serious. Also the UCOS team are sometimes nutty.
Danny who is new and not married has a handicapped daughter named Holly in college who is in a wheel chair has trouble talking and wants her boyfriend to stay over night at Danny's house I suppose with her.
We have a female boss Sasha, black male lover of a white woman, a doctor that looks like he is from India in love with a white woman, Sasha the BOSS is good, this should make the feminist happy. Sasha dresses professional and does not have that mean attitude like her predecessor Sandra. She is younger, blond, tall and thin and thank God we don't have to see her boobs like Sandra's low cut blouses. She does look a little like Sandra. At times she is too understanding about crime when people tell her why they do something. The episode before this one let others off the hook that used stolen jewels to donate money for good causes. Now she says to a hospital employee just tell us what happened we won't tell the hospital about the drug stealing.
Steve is creepy he likes to play games on his phone. He is like Gerry he has an eye for women and gets distracted. They are using electronics more in these episodes. Sasha has a tablet searches her phone and tablet for info on cases and suspects.
The thing that surprises me is that they all drink alcohol when they are on duty in British police stories. UCOS drinks after work but if they visit a house and are offered a drink in other episodes they don't refuse especially Gerry.
So each episode is different.
New Tricks: The One That Got Away (2013)
Sandra's last episode
This episode was about a number of young girls that were murdered. Five of the bodies ended up being disfigured and dead. Some were still missing. All of these women had their picture taken by the same man who was also involved in taking pornographic pictures and was stalking them.
A lady in a bookstore sees a picture of her sister walking through the park on the last day her sister was seen alive that was in a book. Her sister went missing many years ago and she turns the picture over to the police. Sandra had worked on this case before and recognizes one of the men in the picture she had talked to and thinks he was involved in some way.
Gerry is working with 2 new guys and his boss Sandra.
So after connecting the dots Sandra feels there is a woman involved that worked with the photographer and the killer. These woman were not involved in porn but were lured by a female who promised them jobs in art etc.
The case is solved in the end.
It has a sad ending though. Sandra is leaving the UCOS for another job. Jack who left awhile back appears to her and tells to leave and her time is up there. Sandra does not know that Jack left because he was spending his last days in a hospital where they treat patients that have end of life cancer.
Sandra tell Gerry and her boss this is her last case. They are sad but happy for her. I am sad because I know she won't be on the show anymore and only one original character is still on. This series had a lot of humor, suspense and good acting. I saw some later episodes with the new people in it and it was not as good as the ones with Brian, Gerry, Jack and Sandra.
Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!: Grand Scam (2015)
Funny but different
The gang goes to a stadium where Shaggy used to visit to see a game. The baseball players were called the Gypsy Moths.
A ghostly baseball figure come out and wants to whack everyone with the bat. The gang is scared as usual and but they want to find out why this ghostly figure is scaring away the crowd.
Velma's ideas use to be right on target and now they are scattered. Daphne is more vocal and creative, very funny at times like when she dresses in a costume as a Gypsy Moth.
Velma and Daphne's voices higher than usual at times like they are little girls. Velma is way to short when she is next to Daphne.
Shaggy is drawn like a drunk with whiskers and nasty eyes he also stutters at times which does not sound like a natural stutter. The voice of Fred and Scooby are normal. All of their voices are different when they are scared which is expected. The way the characters are drawn are different. Their bodies are skinny and funny looking but cute. None of them have the nice friendly facial features especially their eyes.
The music is good and the background scenes and animation are too and are well drawn and colorful.
At times it is very humorous. Each episode is different.
