Cruel Justice (1999)
Cruel Justice is a movie that many can relate to. 17 year old Amy Metcalf, played by Nicki Aycox, is raped after having a fight with her boyfriend. She goes to trial but her rapist is acquitted and is free to walk the streets. Every time Amy goes out, she finds herself running into her rapist. Eventually, Amy's father, played by A Martinez, decides to take matters into his own hands when he hunts down her rapist, Grant Chadway, played by Vince Corazza, and kills him after Grant pushes him to far.
Above all, I thought this was a great movie. The acting was great. The plot was very good. A lot of teens can relate to this movie. It is basically about a girl who is date raped and her rapist is found innocent in court. In the movie, his story is very believable, and it just goes to show you that anyone can lie in court and get away with it, even when they are guilty. I think that if you should watch this movie. Above all, I give it 10 out of 10 stars.
Thir13en Ghosts (2001)
This movie was fantastic. The acting was good and the plot was good. I really loved how they used actual people to play the parts of the ghosts. That was really cool. It's not your typical ghost movie and that's what I love about it. The ending was a bit iffy. I didn't like how Matt, "Dennis Rafkin" died. He was a really well thought out character. With the ghosts being released at the end, I am definitely sure that there wont be a sequel to this. But if there was and it could hold up stronger than this one, and use the same family, I think it would be a great one. I personally wouldn't classify this movie as a sci-fi film, but due to the reluctant ghosts, you will probably see it air on sci-fi a couple times. If you are into ghosts movies, you should watch this. It is worth your while. The acting is great. It really holds up. Not your average ghosts film. It does lack horror but I credit it with being quite a bit "freaky." I don't suggest you go out of town in hopes to find it, but definitely pick it up for rent over the weekend. 6/10
Odd Girl Out (2005)
I just got done watching the movie on lifetime. It is so true. Girls can be so cruel over the smallest things. It's basically the story of one girl's struggle to make it through school while being verbally tortured by her peers. One little fight with her best friend turns all of the popular girls against her, which as a terrible outcome. Vanessa keeps taking all the abuse until she is driven too far. Finally, she mets Emily, who teaches her that giving into them will only make things worse. Finally, Vanessa stops listening to Stacie's lies and turns on her just like Stacie betrayed her. It's a really good movie about the just how mean girl's can be and how far you can be driven. I suggest you check it out. The acting is good and the plot is strong. If your into chick flicks and lifetime dramas, I would recommend it.
It was all true about how Vanessa gave into all of there pressure and cut her hair and goes off on her mom for trying to help her. She get's so frustrated that she even tries to commit suicide. And when she is in the hospital, she realizes that Staci isn't her friend at all, which she should have figured out long before. Emily, however, however stands by her side no matter how much Vanessa does to get back with Stacie. Above all, I give it 8/10 stars.
Jeepers Creepers (2001)
This Movie Is Frightneing, Yet Enjoyable
Jeepers Creepers is an exciting film. A thriller with amazing characters. I loved this film. It is absolutely an original film. Basically, what it is about is a couple of college students going home for spring break when they encounter a new face of evil. After seeing the creature drop a body into a pipe, they go back to try to save them. When they go back, they find hundreds of dead bodies, including the couple who died on that same highway many years before. After the creature spots the two, they can never escape. The creeper takes Darry and is never defeated. Perfect for the sequel. I give this film a 9 out of 10! You Will have to check it out!
