Love, Death & Robots: Jibaro (2022)
Season 3, Episode 9
I had high hopes but meh, shallow and pretentious
26 May 2022
What started looking like a really beautiful (and true besides the nereid) epic story with hues of mysticism, ended up looking like a Lady Gaga videoclip made by someone high on speed.

Not even the fancy visuals, the sex, the sensual vegas dance of the lady and the gold and jewels could save this episode from whoever ruined the whole idea of it. Pretentious, shallow, it didn't even make any sense.

Some creatives just don't realise that it's not about flashing us, it's about ENGAGING us...

The one with the zombies had actually more depth, it didn't need any extra cash or fancy tricks to impress us (it had a lot of true on it too), just hard work, wit and sincerity.

Warning: Spoilers
I haven't watched something so witty, incredibly funny, smart and masterfully done in a very, very long time, what a creation! I love the criticism to humanity and overall the end, reminding us how insignificant we are... More people should share your philosophy lol Well done and thanks for your sharing your talent with us.

Selling Sunset: Do You Think We're Friends? (2022)
Season 5, Episode 5
For a boss Mary was quite aggressive and rather personal actually
19 May 2022
How can that be called professional if she's bitter about Christine's personal behavior?

As a fellow Libra who can see beyond people's BS but who can get lost in her character, I support Christine a hundred percent. We Libras are experts at shooting our selves in the foot by having a clumsy mouth. But that's all.

Since season 3 I've started noticing that Christine has not acting like she would normally do, as if she was impersonating someone else.

I googled her and she's been taking antidepressants over the past few years, which can do funny things to one's personality, they can numbing you up and disconnecting you from your true self. I'm not saying that this is Christine's situation because I obviously don't know her, but I think that this girl not only has brains and beauty, but good acting skills too... Maybe I'm wrong but her "impersonation" resonates a lot with Brandi Glanville (from the Beverly Hills housewives) to me, who is also hilarious by the way, but nothing like Christine. Much colder.

Please Christine if you are remember that impersonations aren't doing you any favours... you've got a heart of gold, which people can miss if you pretend to be someone else. Be yourself and don't become anyone but your true self... I'm proud that you're basically the only one who hasn't taken anyone else down in order to escalate btw. Keep those good values up.

Selling Sunset: Bad Bitches Don't Cry (2022)
Season 5, Episode 4
Ten points just for Chelsea :D
19 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Gosh, I was almost crying about how horrible those ladies are, especially Emma and Chrishelle, and feeling terribly bad for Christine who can be a bit arrogant but who is the most authentic of them all.. She wears her heart on her sleeve and that's why she protect herself so much. She doesn't need a fake childish smile to hide her true intentions like the other two do, who are as fake as they come. But then lovely Chelsea came along to the rescue!!! Putting a halt to that horrible bullying, calling the BS out and calling things by their name. She's just playing a role in the show, and none of them can see that... her so called "friends". Jealous all of them.

Well done Chelsea for being the moral compass and assisting the underdog.

So proud of being British.

Ambition. That's it.

You get your dream house, dream body, dream job, dream husband, then what?

You hate it all, and then you create drama because you're bored or even worse, you backstab others because you crave what they've got that you don't, and all of that because you're too busy climbing the social ladder and therefore EMPTY.

You need to have a heart in order to enjoy the fruits of your ambition.

Gosh what a culture!

Anatomy of a Scandal: Episode #1.3 (2022)
Season 1, Episode 3
What a load of crap
13 May 2022
Especially the moment that him as a young lad finds the prime minister smoking smack and calls him a junkie lol when he'd just been taking coke with the rest of the pack! So snorting coke is ok but smoking heroin isn't? For the director, maybe but for the rest of us, coke is a class A drug same as heroin.

How can somebody be so out of touch?

And this posh Eton toff British background is so hackneyed, I can't have a genuine interest anymore.

Really dumb show so far, only saved by the actors' performances.

Ghost Dimension (2016– )
Good, honest show
28 April 2022
This familiar show made my nights during lockdown. They're so lovely too, Bex, Sean and Paul. I am watching some of it again as it's easy to watch and also very entertaining. But what's most important, it's honest! I believe that the stuff that happens is real unlike some other shows with more impressive but fake stuff. I like reality when it comes to ghost shows so if you're seeking for the scary truth (and a guided tour on English history) this one is for you.

Modern Love: Take Me as I Am, Whoever I Am (2019)
Season 1, Episode 3
Outstanding episode
14 February 2022
Very realistic but classy and fun.

I was about to give up on the show since the first two episodes were not so realistic, so plain and out of touch.

But this one did it for me and now I can't wait to watch another one.

Impressive performance from Anna Hathaway who made me cry for the first time watching her.

Very honest, very true, very what I actually wanted to watch.

After Life (2019– )
I loved the show and now I can't stand it
12 February 2022
The first season was just a 9 out of 10: hilarious, relatable, real. This guy really knows what he's doing!

But after the second it's just another sitcom full of boring clichés... The third season is just a soap opera. It must be the last, as the last episode was incredibly cheesy and dull, trying hard to leave a mark.

The characters, who besides him and the great Penelope Wilton aren't interesting at all, become so unrealistic and out of touch... all in the range of absurd (some of them are even disgusting and off putting)... Ricky Gervais, where have you been living, in a cave? Please stick to comedy.

I'm sorry for my harsh review, you are someone that has made me laugh the hardest for your wit and your brilliant sense of humor, I just wanted more of the first season...

Empty, long, tedious and uneventful
11 February 2022
Only rescued by Olivia Coleman.

I wish I never wasted those very long 2 hours of my life!

Misleading reviews.

It's a shame that they don't pay more attention to the actual script!

Too hard of an attempt at fine directing.

The Vicar of Dibley (1994–2020)
Owen's cruelty towards animals is so horrible
8 July 2021
It made me stop watching this at once.

The show so good it's hard to believe it's from the early 90's.

But that Owen character just shows me how horribly primitive we used to be to allow such truly awful, cruel "jokes" about the things that he does to animals, episode after episode, leaving me quite traumatised. And that doesn't deserve more than 4 stars from me which go straight to Dawn French for the true star, so ahead of her time, intelligent, hilarious lady that she is. She's the only reason why I watched it actually.

What is this?
16 June 2021
The good reviews on this show are FAKE. I bet my neck. This is one of the worst comedies I've ever watched... it's not even comedy! It's just mean characters and a very bright setting! Why the extreme light???

It didn't make me laugh, it just irritated the s*** out of me. Awful show.

Really good... but not the end
18 May 2021
When are directors/producers/writers going to learn that a good film doesn't need an unpredictable twist at the end? When?

When a film has sufficient depth and it's also credible, the characters are well developed and it's fairly well directed, as per this one, you don't need such a twist at the end! That's what they do on B movies like "Scream", not on good films like this. It just ruins the whole piece of art.

Why this obsession with being original when what we actually need is tangible, human, real stuff. Even if it's a fantasy film. We need depth. Especially now after lockdown when we've been feeling so alienated and so isolated from our peers.

I loved all the performances, that's the best asset of the film without a doubt. What a cast! It almost feels like a waste, so much talent with such little screen time! I would have loved to see more of Julianne Moore especially, the scene between her and Amy Adams was outstanding, what an incredible actress she is! They both are. You just can't take your eyes away from her performance.

Great thriller but weak "trying too hard to surprise you" ending.

Ma (I) (2019)
Really good thriller, a shame about the ending
16 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This film is so good! It's got everything for a thriller to be perfect, good cast, good cinematography, great storyline, good atmosphere, good direction... Octavia Spencer is insanely good, and also Juliette Lewis and the rest of the famous faces in this, the kids are very good as well. The psychology behind is great... except for the ending. It was too "Saw" for my taste which was unnecessary. Why do most thriller/horror directors feel the need to turn perfectly fine films into "B movies" at the ending? Such a shame. Otherwise a perfect thriller for a Saturday night.

Mean Girls (2004)
Mean nonsensical sexism
9 May 2021
I had forgotten how terrible to women these films were. The predominantly male film/TV industry was casting us in such a poor light that it's cringey to watch. We were depicted as this vane wicked creatures that couldn't be further from reality, as if we were the source of all possible embarrassment. Men have failed us that way. I am truly glad that we are seen in a more accurate way nowadays.

Why de low ratings? It was magnificent
24 April 2021
I can't understand the low ratings here, me and my friends were craving for some good sci fi on Netflix like this one and it was spot on.

We only wished it had last longer, like a series or a mini series. Everything on it was good, beautifully directed. The music was bliss.

And that's the only reason why I didn't give 10 stars to the show. Otherwise, it's perfect. Perfect story, perfect cast, soundtrack, cinematography, lead actor, history references, perfect script, editing, direction... and I'm in love with Cillian Murphy!

Peaky Blinders: The Shock (2019)

Kate Phillips deserves an Oscar
10 December 2020
Kate Phillips... wow. What a performance girl. Even my cat reacted at her crying... A cat. It was so believable I almost cried of pain myself as well. After seeing her in The Crown" (Venetia I believe her name was) we've never forgotten her, even for a five minutes role. I'm so glad that I've been able to seeing more of her here... she's so expressive it's insane, and at the same time she's so serene as well... I don't know how can she create such expectancy. She is that Marilyn that most blonde actresses want to be. Yes I said it! I hope we get to see more of her on further shows.

Complete opposite styles of horror in 1
24 November 2020
What a beautiful ending but what a waste of talent. What happened here? Oscar to the main actress for her wonderful performance here wow... the whole cast is brilliant but that lady is just something else. She brings all the thrilling herself, I don't think I've ever seen such a talent... her huge range of expressions, not even Jodie Foster on "the silence of the lambs" I'm not joking... I remember that she was in "You" (and she turned the whole show into gold) and also in "house in Haunting Hill" where her performance was so good that all mates and I were petrified, throughout the whole episode about her character as if we were scared of even breathing for not to miss a single second of her performance... I want to see her in every single horror series from now on please Netflix!! The cinematography is great as well, the dialogues are entertaining and wise, the whole wisdom behind them is refreshing and the ghost story is compelling enough, for some reason, between the 4th episode of the show and the 8th including it all goes bananas. I can't describe how bad it is... it's almost as if a bunch of different films about the same subject all had been put together in a rush, Such a shame honestly as the bad ones cast the good ones because they just don't make any sense... Why on earth would they turn that creepy wheezing lady from under the girl's bed into an American Horror Story's sort of mannequin with no expression for example? It looked like Harry Potter. The same character, two different faces. One scary, the other just cgi, just because. Why do Americans always go for fake circus horror style lately? It's so cheap and pretentious, almost as if a child had taken over the film. Here in Britain we do love our James Wan's type of horror, "The Conjuring" would be an excellent example of it, or maybe a little less creepy for some, but every good horror that I have been watching lately or over the past few years, always ends up turning into "Buddy the vampire slayer"! Why? Also, the creators should know that HORROR doesn't turn into LOVE STORY because it just doesn't work that way... If you want the theatre to remain full it's the other way around exactly, maybe a love story about a young woman trying to leave her past behind through a whole haunted mansion experience while making some new connections. Deepen those connections, shape those characters, but bring the horror on. Not nonsense. And please do not "get too creative" nor overuse those connections unless you really know what you're doing... If you are selling horror you should stick to horror otherwise you may end up be misleading us and that would be it.. I would have given 9 stars to the first four episodes, 1 to the fifth & sixth (sorry they're dumb), 5 to the seventh, 2 to the eight & ninth and 8 to the tenth (beautiful ending that made me cry). So I gave it 5 stars for the 5 good episodes + 1 extra for the cast. I think that the creator should have been much braver and sticking to the first few episode's styles rather than messing up with two complete opposite styles of horror.

The Haunting of Bly Manor: The Jolly Corner (2020)
Season 1, Episode 6
Terrible, bad, awful
23 November 2020
Why did I keep on watching the show after episode 5?

Honestly, whatever happened to this show is just horrendous. Even Victoria Pedretti looks like an average actress. It all looks like your average sitcom but with an after-lunch soap opera twist. You can even tell that the tree leaves are fake. I don't get anything of what is going on by the way, so out of context, so lazy, so poorly written. The characters don't have any depth, as the writers/creators/directors. Awful.

Creators, please don't get too creative
23 November 2020
Oh no it's going down again! We all witnessed car crash "Haunting on Hills House" after the sixth or the seventh episode and now it's happening again! 😭 It's as if "The Others" had suddenly turned into some American Horror Story lazy but expensive show, so boring, so tatty, so lazy... Even the lady from the lake was a joke honestly, the cgi/mask made me laugh, and the dialogues... I couldn't wait anymore so I switched it off. Is the director trying (and failing) to be David Lynch all of a sudden or is it him being replaced by the director who can't direct but has all the money and/or contacts? This is such a catastrophe, I had already rated the series with a 9!! Such a waste of cast and talent.

David Fincher why have you forsaken us?
12 October 2020
Awful. All wrong from the very beginning. Tell me Mr Director, have you even bothered to read the saga? Lisbeth Salander was BLONDE as a child, not brunette. She dyed her hair black when she grew up.

Two stars only because of Claire Foy's outstanding performance.

She is so pretty...
8 October 2020
It's hard to believe that she would feel that way... she's so pretty, it's just insane that it was only ten years ago when this episode was made and she's already treated as an old lady. Gosh, I wish I look like her not in my fifties but in my forties! Makes one realise how terribly hard it has been for women so far :( Very good episode, like all of them.
