Let me start off by saying I am one of the few people who absolutely loved the first Ghost Rider! It was and still is one of my favorite films and that is why I feel like I was just punched in the stomach by Sylvester Stallone! These people took one of my all time favorite superheroes and make him a complete joke! When I was a young lad and watched Ghost Rider for the first time I fell in love with every element of it (apparently I was one of the only ones, oh well people have opinions) and when I saw that there was going to be a sequel in the near future I got my hopes up and began the wait When the trailer came out I thought it looked pretty decent, like it was gonna be a fun ride...I was wrong, oh so very wrong. The story was a piece of garbage that was rushed at an incredible pace making it hard to believe it was even a movie at points. The way Mark Neveldine and Brain Taylor direct is simply horrendous and hard to watch, everything moves so fast and the camera won't stay still for a second, it gives me a bloody headache, but that's just my opinion. And the list goes on! They changed the Ghost Rider from a BA avenger who gave bad guys what they deserved into a complete and utter joke. One of the things that stuck with me from the first film was the penance stare, I was praying to see a lot of this! All he does is yell, no cool little tricks, he just yells and incinerates people, that's it. However this is just my opinion, if you are a big fan of the Crank movies or are a big adrenalin junkie give it a try.
Awful, Simply Awful
I need to say after seeing the trailer for this film I wasn't expecting a lot but I looked at the cast and the fact Steven Soderbergh directed it and convinced myself to go and check it out. I must state again that after seeing the trailer I wasn't expecting much, and what I got was a whole lot worse! It was simply horrendous! The only reason I gave this film any stars at all is because of the cast and the fact I couldn't do any better (Although the challenge has been accepted). Just a terrible story, terrible direction, heck even the acting wasn't that good! After this film I left the theater in awe of what I just paid money for, a couple held the door for me on my way out and I heard the woman utter, "Well that's two hours of my life that I will never get back", and I can't help but agree with her. The one reason I'm happy I saw this film was so I could complain about it, if you want to see it, be my guest, but head my warning son!
