A very good movie... but not great certainly not a top 250
I read so many positive reviews I was expecting something spectacular and way out of the ordinary... Don't get me wrong, this was a very enjoyable visibly spectacular movie. However, it was almost predictable at every step. I love science fiction, after all besides being a movie lover i hold a PhD in Physical Chemistry---. I expected more thats all. Matthew McConaughey is a great hit and miss actor, so many films with a hit and a few misses, I couldn't get the Rocket Backyard movie out of my mind watching this movie. Whenever a movie breaks the top 250 I get so excited - normally I don;t get letdown. This time, very unfortunately - a good movie but not great and not deserved into the top 250.
Maybe it got better but I left after half
I used to be able to sit through these nauseating pseudo-hand-held attempts at artistic works but literally they make me sick to my stomach now. What happened ? Hand-held camera phones are more stable - so the hand-held effect is fake and exaggerated. Avoid . Of the thousands of films I have sat through this is the second in my life I walked out of- JUST because of the camera-not the movie. Just for honesty I did like and enjoy the Blair witch project and several Indy documentary films. I guess the difference is the MTV-clone-like attempt at being cool just doesn't work as it is too distracting for its own good. Sorry my comment would have been shorter if it was permitted to be less than 10 lines.
