Alone in the Dark (2005)
I love watching bad movies but...this was just horrible!
First off, I would like to ask, how can people even relate Uwe Boll to Ed Wood? I know Ed Wood made pretty bad movies but his were much better than this! All Uwe cares about is money and fame and calls people who don't like his movies "enemies"!, where as Ed actually cared about making movies and done it because he loved doing it, whether people liked it or not.
Now, on with the movie review (just to point out, there are minor spoilers ahead). The movie starts out with a scroll that lasts almost 5 minutes. Already I knew I was in for a bad movie. The plot had no point, the characters were laughably bad and the acting was some of the worst I have ever seen.
The movie does have a couple of high points such as, the creatures/aliens looked pretty cool although we don't really find out why they are there.
*SPOILER AHEAD!!!!!* If you actually want to see this movie, I advise you don't continue reading.
In the movie, we find out that the creatures can't survive in daylight. But at the end of the movie one of them jumps out in DAYLIGHT and attacks them! Uwe, please pay attention to the script!!!
In conclusion, Alone In The Dark is a movie that must be avoided at all costs. Though it may be a step up from House Of The Dead, it was still very bad!
Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (2002)
pure 100% cheese
The acting was bad. The characters were bad. Some scenes were totally unnecessary. This movie is a masterpiece! I am a huge fan of bad horror movies and this ranks as one of my favorites. This movie beats the first 2 by a long shot when it comes to being cheese. And they made the shark look so much bigger then you think it was!
*minor spolier ahead*
When they are flying over the water the shark jumps up out of the water to try to catch them it looks like a fish version of the CN Tower!
so if you are bored one night and are in desperate need for a good laugh, rent this!
one of the best movies to come out since 2000
When I walked into the theater to see this movie I didn't know what to expect. But I was very impressed with it. Everything from the starting to ending credits was very entertaining. Crispin Glover's acting in this movie is very good. Quite possibly his best performance yet! The rats were great, the acting was great and the story was great. Definitely one of the best remakes in history. If you plan to see this movie for the first time, don't expect a horrifying killer animal flick. You really have to look at Willard's character and how he eventually breaks down.
My rating: 10/10
