Silent Witness: Terminus: Part 1 (2006)
Sensitive, Moving Stories
Wonderful acting, superb writing and heartrending soundtrack. The way the stories interconnect with one another is very mesmerizing and engaging. The emotional content of this series goes wonderfully hand in hand with the professionality of the brilliant and very human pathologist team. I very much hope this amazing soundtrack will be made available on Spotify at some point. The haunting, moving beauty of the melodies very much enhance the feelings that come across as we observe how each character is affected by what is happening in the story, and how we are able to empathize with them. Wonderful work all around. Cheers and congratulations to everyone involved in the making of this heartfelt series.
The Ravine (2021)
A Movie with an Essential Message
I stumbled across this little gem when searching on my Prime video account. I read the review folks had posted on IMDB and was somewhat disheartened, though sadly, not overly surprised. The short-sighted, negative comments that accuse this film of being a misrepresentation of the Bible or a "hodge-podge of confused/confusing spirituality" clearly come from folks who have completely missed the most important point of the film...the power of unimaginable love and forgiveness. And to those so-called Christians who are preaching that there cannot be forgiveness without true penance, I will respectfully say you do not have the first clue about Christianity and have no idea what you are talking about. I am very glad I watched this film. I feel sorry for those of you who were looking for some kind of cheap thrill and were disappointed. It is still obvious that many humans have truly forgotten where we all came from and right now are being won over by the blinding material world. In spite of this...I believe hope still remains. We still have a long way to go. Kudos and thanks to all involved in the making of this film.
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (2008)
The Best John Connor of All
What a well-cast,, well-written and moving Terminator series! In my opinion this program perfectly captures the important messages the Terminator saga brings to us. I love how in-sync the storyline is with the first two movies while also adding extra future background details and such interesting character stories. Thomas Dekker absolutely stole my heart and is officially my favorite John Connor of all. Well done, and thanks to everyone who made this series happen. I am very disappointed it had to be so short-lived.
The Unit (2006)
True Human Sacrifice
Excellent depiction of the nature of what special OPS personnel and their families must endure in the interest of national security. I am someone who detests violence, but to me these men are super heroes. The hardest parts to watch are how these men are treated by their own country's oftentimes corrupt administrative people.
"Well done" to everyone who was part of bringing this amazing program to the screen!
Six Weeks (1982)
A Beautifully Moving Story
A truly uplifting, bittersweet tale that provokes thought about how short and precious life is. Miss Healy gives a wonderful performance as a child with an insight for life that is well beyond her years. Her remarkable talent as a ballet dancer adds much culture and grace to the film. The Dudley Moore character's humor and compassion along with the magnificent and moving score make this a wonderful film which I will always cherish. I was so disappointed to find that it had not been released on DVD as of yet. I also learned there is not a soundtrack available either. I feel the release of a DVD and soundtrack would be a nice tribute to the memory of the wonderfully talented Mr. Moore who has now moved on to the next part of his journey.
