I love this show, long time ago I started to watch it on one TV station and then they discontinued it after two seasons and to cut to long story short, a friend gave me the DVD-s of all seasons and I am loving it!
Great show, great cast and great story. Although the fifth season was kinda messed up with all the JD wondering of in his head and delusions, they did pull it together in the later seasons. Great fun watching and I love the fact that the show has had some memorable moments that everyone still repeats and one liners that will stick forever.
Favorite character of the entire show has gotta be Ted, I love his character and he cracks me up every time, true portrait of a man deeply in despair. --------- Just to add some more stuff, wtf..they totally ruined the show with last season, that was awful, no closure, no nothing. It kinda felt like it was an intro to a giant spin off with characters who would just copy the original cast.
Not happy! they should have left it end on the 8th season or at least make one episode to close it off.
I feel betrayed..The Janitor, Ted , Carla, and all the other beloved characters just disappeared..This should be a text book example on how to ruin a perfectly good show by trying to squeeze some more money and on how to disregard your fans.
Stand Up Guys (2012)
Could have been better
Well it is pretty awesome to see Walken and Pacino together and they do make a pretty good on screen team, but the movie itself is very poorly written which tends to kinda ruin their performance..if they actually did try to give a performance.
The movie flirts with justice and emotions of the characters but the fact that the characters were written without any real depth to them , it fails to deliver.
I would have been really happy and would give it a higher number of points if the Pacino character was killed by Walken at the end, I mean the last scene with the shoot out ...it seemed more funny than dangerous, but that's just me.And not to mention the girl from the truck, they should have left that part out and made the granddaughter character appear more and have more substance. Anyhow...Alan Arkin was the only one that to me had genuine feeling in his character.
The Words (2012)
The story is well planned and to a certain level well written but the fact that bothers me is that the characters have little or no real depth. Dora and Rory are not that bad but Clay was awful or was it just that Dennis Quaid had acted it out very very poorly. I think they might have taken Dennis on board just because he kinda really does look like older version of Rory :/ Bradley is really becoming an actor that can play various types of characters, and it was about time he started distancing himself from "hangover" type of roles. All in all a pleasant movie which I finished to the end , entertaining and not a waste a time but not one of does movies that you recommend with a hype or passion.
The Cold Light of Day (2012)
Nothing special, seen worse
Well, I figured I'll give it a chance because I had nothing else to do on this Wednesday night and boy was I wrong. I actually stopped at the 55th minute of the movie because I could not take it anymore, the lead actor sucked and was overdoing the whole character. The scene where he comes in to the club wounded and staggers is just ridiculous, wasn't that Guy ever drunk, because if he was he should have nailed that scene.
All in all , bad plot, the story has not been written very good and pretty much a waste of time. They should have at least put in some nudity to keep the male audience interested , but nah...they left it out :/
