Incredible animated movie. Definitely one of Disney's best., 26 July 2012
9/10

Hi there, I haven't wrote a review in quite a long time now, I think almost a year actually, but never mind about that, I've now decided to return to write a review on Disney's remake of the classic fairy tale "Rapunzel", but instead of naming the movie "Rapunzel" Disney decided to get a bit more creative with the title, so instead they named it: "Tangled".

Now to start off, let me just say that this fairy tale (or princess story) Disney movie is quite different than almost all the other ones they've done for three reasons. For a start, it's in CGI rather than being hand drawn, second, like I stated earlier, they decided to get more creative with the title, so instead named "Tangled" instead of just "Rapunzel", and third, the rating's PG instead of U/G.

Now this isn't a bad thing, it can actually turn out as a good thing, since it makes this move more unique than most other fairy tales Disney has done. Now, I would explain the story, but trust me, it would be way too long for me to explain it, plus I would have enough room for the whole review.

So, what do I think of this animated movie? Well, if it wasn't already obvious, I freaking' love this movie, just like a lot other people do, especially Disney fans, which I am. Seriously, this is way better than the Princess and the Frog last year (in my opinion). Now, I liked that movie too, but I just find this one way better. But now for the voice actors/actresses.

The heroine, Rapunzel, is voiced by Mandy Moore, which is nice. The hero, a charming thief called Flynn Rider, is voiced by Zachary Levi, he also does a good job. And of course, the main villain, an old lady (or witch, if you will), is voiced by Donna Murphy. Coolness! Other voices include Ron Perlman, M.C. Gainey, Jeffrey Tambour and Brad Garret.

And now, finally, time for my final thoughts on this movie.

Tangled is an amazing movie! Hands down one of the best movies of the year. Would highly recommend getting this on DVD, especially if you have kids. I still have it on DVD and I still enjoy it the same. It has excellent animation, quite a few entertaining characters especially the "animal companions" (Pascal, Rapunzel's pet chameleon, and Maximus, a palace stallion), the songs are all great in my eyes, and not to mention its based on a classic fairy-tale.

By far, one of my favorite Disney movies ever. Oh, and BTW, don't read this if you don't wanna be spoiled, Rapunzel and Flynn both start to fall in love as the movie goes on. Well it IS a Disney movie after all. But anyways, final thoughts, this is an outstanding animated movie. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

Rating: 9/10 - or - ****1/2 out of *****

Hope you enjoyed this review, which is actually my first proper review. Be sure to check in on my next review, which hopefully should be soon. But until then, see y'all later.

A really enjoyable series of animated movie reviews!, 31 August 2011

Personally, I really enjoy Hewy's Animated Movie Reviews, they're fun to watch, and even funny at times, so I'd definitely recommend this for any movie reviewers, and also personally, I don't really review movies a lot, even though I've now got a IMDb account. But I still enjoy reading movie reviews, and especially listening to these ones. And most of the movies Hewy reviews' are, well, usually quite good ones, and sometimes even amazing ones! And a few of the movies he reviews' are even underrated or just aren't that great. But overall, this is a very good review series of animated movies, and I've seen most of his reviews on YouTube, even though it says it's supposed to be a TV series. But that doesn't matter. Thank you for reading this review, on a review series. And one more thing. See you at the movies, animated movies that is.

Just as good as the first one, if not better., 18 August 2011
8/10

I enjoyed Bambi II, just as I enjoyed the first one, which was great, but I think this sequel is slightly better, which most people may disagree with, but this is just what I think. I like how they put this movie right in the middle of the first one (hopefully not spoiling anything) and it's a good little kinda "intermission" sequel, and it possibly had the longest wait since the first one, which came out in 1942, this one just 2006. And most people would think the first one is better because it was amazing for it's time. Since I'm not that old I wasn't alive back then, but I still really enjoyed the first one when I saw it out on DVD. But this one still has some characters you just hate, (especially the porcupine) but most of them are enjoyable. It is good for the kids, and if you saw the first one back in the 40's, you'll probably think the sequel is OK. I'd recommend it for fans of the first one anyway. Thanks for reading this review on the 2nd Bambi.

One of the best animated movies ever created!, 18 August 2011

When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I was thinking "Hmm, Toy Story 3, that looks interesting." Or something like that. I thought the first one was alright, and I really enjoyed the second one, I used to watch it a lot when I was young, but this one is most likely the best out of the trilogy. It had some funny moments in, I enjoyed most scenes, and it was also quite sad at the end of the movie, but I'm not giving any spoilers away, for those who have not seen this awesome movie. And don't worry, you won't be offended by this, it is a perfect movie for kids of all ages, and me being, well, not too old, I still really enjoyed it and it's no wonder this movie is loved by so many people. I'm not really looking forward to another sequel, I thought the ending to this movie was perfect, (still not spoiling anything) but we'll see if the 4th one is as good as this one, which I highly doubt. Anyways, I would highly recommend this movie for any fans of the first 2, and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks for reading.

One of the best, and saddest, zombie movies I've ever seen!, 18 August 2011
10/10

When I first saw this movie with my mum, brother and sister, I thought it was alright. But that was quite a while ago actually, and it's now that I realize what an amazing movie this is. It was quite scary, especially when I first saw it, and it is possibly one of the saddest movies I've ever experienced. And overall, this is an awesome zombie movie, and I really cried through some scenes, but I didn't cry as much in any scene than a certain death scene which I will not spoil. I think it's actually quite hard to stop myself from crying whenever I watch that part. I don't know what anyone else thinks, except my parents, (my dad didn't really like it, but at least my mum did) but for me, this is one of my most favorite movies of all time. Thanks for reading this review.
