This movie is a real gem!
This has to be one of the best movies of all time! It has it all! This is a true 80's gem and I would advise EVERYONE to watch it!Even if you're not into skating, you will find this movie awesome.I must have seen it around gazillion times!I used to watch this as a kid every single day, had it taped on VHS and knew every single word of it! I just watched it again a few days ago and still found it awesome, it almost felt like watching it for the first time! Plus, I cannot restrain myself from saying how freaking awesome Robert Rusler in this movie is!This is the kind of role that really shows his talent as an actor. To me, he will always be Tommy the Hook!
Old School (2003)
We're going' streaking'!!!YEAH!
This seriously has to be the best comedy ever! I used to think it was "Dumb & Dumber" but after seeing this, there is no doubt at all. The cast is great but as usual, Frank the Tank, Will Ferrell that is, can only add to the greatness of the movie. I never actually got around to seeing this movie before, it was only recently that I saw it and completely fell for it!I could watch it for days and not get bored with it!Frank the Tank surely delivers some of the best comic scenes(and lines!) in movie history!Lots of fun and roaring with laughter is what you will get by seeing Old School. This is definitely a must see! On a scale from 1 to 10, I give it a 20!
Rock Star (2001)
Great fun, great flick!
If you like the 80's rock, you should definitely see this movie! I've only seen it recently and completely fell in love with it!
Overall, the movie is very entertaining, provides you with a great load of rock tunes and not a single second of the movie do I find boring! It was a great idea that some of the real-life musicians were in this, doing what they do best. I was happy to see Zakk, as well as Blas Elias, they all delivered solid performances. I tend to agree with a lot of people saying that the first half of the movie was much better than the second one, specially in the terms of the script. That could have been worked on a bit better, but not a major biggie. One thing that did bother me a bit was Jennifer Aniston's performance. I thought she wasn't the right person for this role,I just couldn't see her as a rock star girlfriend. But as the movie goes on, you somehow realize that she did a good job with this. There is a certain amount of honesty and sincerity she delivers that just doesn't live you cold.
To summarize, a good and a funny movie, that doesn't go deep into characters but provides you with a good fun, a sense of nostalgia and of course the mighty vocals by Jeff Scott Soto and Mike Matijevic!
