The Last Ship (2014)
I love this show
I'm not a fan of sci-fi shows much, but this show changed my mind.
Originally, the only reason I decided to watch it was because Rhona Mitra is so hot (and I would watch her read a phonebook even),I didn't even care for the plot much.
Although I do have a huge crush on Rhona,I'm enjoying this show as well.Eric Dane and Adam Baldwin are such great actors, seeing their performances in Greys Anatomy and Chuck respectively prove that as well.Michael Bay as Rhona Mitra said in an interview is definitely the daddy of action. The action in the show is great, the motivation of all the characters and team work is just amazing.
Also I have seen on Facebook and Twitter, that the creators of this show have gotten some things wrong. OMG give me a break, this is not a DOCUMENTARY,this is called a TV SHOW for a REASON,it's for ENTERTAINMENT purposes, not educational. If you don't like it,there are a million other shows on the planet.
Overall the show is great,I hope Rhona becomes my girlfriend one day and also I love this show and Rhona.
Finding Carter (2014)
What an amazing show
I'm a huge fan of teen dramas. I like many shows related in that category like One Tree Hill,Twisted and Pretty Little Liars and not to forget Finding Carter.
I'm just so hooked with this show.Nothing in this show happens either fast or too slow,in my opinion it happens when the audience wants it to happen, which is just amazing. The cast of the show is just amazing and Kathryn Prescot (Skins UK) and Vanessa Morgan (My Babysitter's A Vampire) are so damn hot.
I'll be really honest,I don't care much for MTV but this show is ratings gold.Hope MTV makes shows like these and not those reality crap shows,if you ask me this show is so much realistic and better than Teen Mom and that other reality stuff MTV plays, except for Teen Wolf, though I have never watched it,but my friends say it is good.
I hope this show gets much better with time and may more seasons come as well.
Aliens in America (2007)
Cool Show, Great Actors But Everything Is Wrong About Pakistan
I have been living in Pakistan, since my birth and after watching this show, I'm quite offended by what Americans think of Pakistanis, I don't really care whether it's a racist show or not, but the problem is, that everything about Pakistan in this show is wrong.Seriously, the creator should have visited Pakistan to look at it at least, or consult a Pakistani before making this show, asking about what their culture is like.
As for the sitcom, I love it.The acting is just so great, the way of showing that whether what class, race or religion you belong to, there's nothing funny about peace, love and understanding.Even Adhir Kalyan, the Indian actor who plays the Pakistani Raja does a good job too.And the mom (Amy Pietz) is amazing and the funnies character on the show.I guess The CW hates when we love them, that's why they canceled this show, damn you CW.
Now moving over, nothing is correct about Pakistan or Pakistanis.First of all, the skin color of Adhir Kalyab, it's dark brown, that's a very rare skin color that is of Pakistanis. Most Pakistanis are either light brown or fair skinned. The next is the accent, when Indians and Pakistanis speak English, they have quite different accents. Most Indian accents have a Hindi blend, whereas Pakistani accents have an American blend and those who can't speak English properly talk sluggishly and incorrectly. In one episode, I saw that Raja closes his eyes when a kissing scene occurs, Are you serious? A kissing scene?, That's way dumb no one in Pakistan would seem to care.Lastly, is the clothes that Raja wears, it's more Arabian than Pakistani.Even if he wore it here in Pakistan, he would be made fun of in schools, colleges e.t.c.
My point is that overall, it's a great show, that creators of this show should have done their homework on Pakistan before. And again, screw you CW for canceling it.
Main Hoon Shahid Afridi (2013)
So I decided to finally watch MHSA,as from the trailers I expected this film to be a great one and I was right.Everyone in this movie acted really well,Humayun Saeed,Mahnoor Baloch,Javed Sheikh,Summer Nicks,Shafqat Cheema and others as well, but my favorite character was Molvi Majeed (Hamza Abbasi),he was just so amazing, his funny lines were so epic. The soundtrack was great too,My favorite songs from the movie are ''Jera Vi Ane De'',''Beautiful Night'' and ''Angreja Teri''.
This is one of those films which is helping in reviving The Pakistani film industry. Those who haven't watched it,should hurry up and see this film, and I assure you that this film will not fail to impress you.
Adaalt-The best show on Sony
I Love Adaalat. It has to be the best show every on Sony, even more than the long running CID.Adaalat is an Indian television courtroom drama series which revolves around Mr K.D. Pathak, a defense lawyer with an impeccable track record of winning cases, but not at the cost of upholding the truth. He has just lost one case and that too by revealing to the court that his client is a murderer because KD stands not for his client, but for Justice. The series is produced by Contiloe Films and stars Ronit Roy as KD Pathak in the main lead. KD has an amazing eye for detail and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. He always seems to know enough about every profession, and what he doesn't know he covers up/makes up with his smartness. He is a quick thinker. Interestingly, what his initials K. D. stand for, has not been revealed yet, though multiple references have come up across episodes, thereby raising the curiosity factor KD steps into a case when all is doomed for the accused. All the doors are shut. When the prosecution has prepared a water tight open and shut case where even a blind man can tell that the accused is guilty then KD somehow performs a miracle. No one can see the case from the angle KD does. He digs fervently for loopholes in the prosecution's case much to their frustration and thinking on his feet, he manages to turn the entire case around. Often through histrionics, magical gimmicks (since he has recently started learning magic and uses a parallel between magic and justice that often what we see is not all there is something beyond it), performances, which the Judge does not approve of ! And nor does his ex-love Maya (The Prosecutor who is often at the receiving end!) - But that is KD. Unstoppable, incorrigible and completely enthralling and entertaining. It is a treat to watch him perform in court week after week, tearing the toughest of cases to shreds and helping convict an evil scheming villain, and setting a poor hapless innocent victim free! Adaalat used to come on Saturday 8:00 PM on Sony Entertainment Television but from the episode K.D. V/S K.D. (June 18th 2011), the show comes on Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 PM.
