There is something to this caliber of actors. Either the costume designer blew the budget at the local Salvation Army thrift store or it was their skill and mastery at using a rotary dial telephone. Whenever these actors made an appearance something illegal and dangerous happened, ultimately boosting the ratings.

Lots of things go wrong during a planned robbery. A lot of people get killed. The cons are quirky, usually at least one is allegedly homosexual and all have funny nicknames. These films often have all-star casts and most of them were released in the Nineteen Seventies
Films that are dark and clinical looking. A post-apocolytpic dystopia. Not my favourite films.
All star Films often in the 1970s. When things got worse, the film got better, and was rescued.
tv is actually still good in this millennium and in digital HD.
