I believe the title of the list says it all. Except it doesn't say that the list is in alphabetical order. Which it is, it's in alphabetical order... just because, well, I like order.

1 star = Terrible / horrible / just plain sh*t
2 stars = Bad
3 stars = Eh / not bad, not good / I'm rather indifferent about this film
4 stars = Good / above average / could possibly be better, but good none the less
5 stars = Excellent / really, really good / AWESOME
6 stars = A masterpiece / perfect / God himself could not have made a better film

I hate the question "What's your favourite film?". How do I know? There's so many amazing movie experiences out there, so many films that have profoundly touched me in some way, that it is utterly impossible to pick one of them, and claim that one to be the best film ever made. So here's an alphabetized list of more than 100 of my personal favourite films of all time, varying from childhood faves to very recent discoveries.

Obviously, this is a list of what I define as hotties... and they're listed alphabetically btw.

Let me just say this to begin with: 2013 has been an amazing year in movies! It was really, seriously difficult to pick the movies for this list, which I think is only a good thing. In fact, it has been such an amazing year in movies, that all of the top five films of this list hits to top-grade - 6 out of 6 stars! That is a personal record, as I have never before seen a year with that many films worth all 6 stars.
One of the things that I have been very pleasantly surprised about, is the quality of this year's big blockbusters. There have been so many of them, four of which actually found their ways unto this list. Let's hope next year won't be any different!
Another pleasant surprise, is that for a second year in a row, this list includes a Danish film... and not just one, actually. There's two! (One is an English language one, though.)

It is of course not possible to see every film you want to see in a year, and there still are a lot of films from 2013 I have yet to see, some of which haven't even premiered in Denmark yet - and those includes movies, that could have very possibly ended up on this list, had I actually got to see them. They are (in alphabetical order): '12 Years a Slave', 'A Hijacking / Kapringen', 'Ain't Them Bodies Saints', 'American Hustle', 'Blackfish', 'Blue is the Warmest Colour', 'Captain Phillips', 'C.O.G.', 'Dallas Buyers Club', 'Enough Said', 'Frances Ha', 'Frozen', 'Fruitvale Station', 'Her', 'Inside Llewin Davis', 'Kill Your Darlings', 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom', 'Nebraska', 'Out of the Furnace', 'Pacific Rim', 'Philomena', 'Prisoners', 'Rush', 'Saving Mr. Banks', 'Side Effects', 'Stoker', 'Stories We Tell', 'The Spectacular Now', 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and 'The World's End' ... and most likely a whole lot more.

So without further ado, let me give to you my top 10 picks for the best films of 2013.
