The Girl Next Door (2004)
The Girl Next Door
I'll try and keep this short. To be honest I was very unsure about seeing The Girl Next Door, but now I'm glad I saw the film.
The VERY beautiful Elisha Cuthburt plays Danielle, a former porn star who left the industry and wants a normal life. I found her very convincing in this role and I couldn't take my eyes off her. Emile Hirsch plays Matthew who is infatuated with Danielle when she moves in next door to him.
I didn't find it overly funny, but did find myself glued to the screen dying to find out how it ends and how the characters end up because I loved the story.
This was also the best I've seen Timothy Olyphant act.
I'm giving The Girl Next Door 8 out of 10
Mr Bay, please stop making movies...
After reading A LOT of bad reviews here in IMDb, I wasn't expecting anything special before seeing this movie, BUT it was a little better than I thought it would be.
Just like the previous two Transformers films, this one had characters that were unrelatable and unrealistic, spewing out bad dialogue with bad acting.
Regarding new characters, the addition of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was not a smart choice. She wasn't anything special. I wish they'd kept Megan Fox. And the Einstein and Scottish Autobots were just lame and pathetic and pretty painful to watch.
The special effects and fight scenes however, were very good but needed much more of it to keep me interested.
In my opinion, the only good things about Dark Of The Moon were the action scenes and the end credits.
Once again, director Michael Bay and the writers have embarrassed themselves by making a joke of a much loved childhood TV show as these films focused more on teenage romance, which just happened to have Transformers in them.
Its obvious that everyone involved had no idea what Transformers was before making these films as the story and characters stray far away from the original cartoon's classic story.
I thought Revenge Of The Fallen was probably the best of the 3, but they will never beat Transformers: The Movie from 1986.
I'm giving this movie 5/10
Planet Terror (2007)
awesome film !!!
After watching Planet Terror for the first time, it instantly became one of my favorite films.
It has lots of blood and gore, great well known cast with great performances and I loved the film grains and filters they used to make it look older than it actually is.
There was really nothing about this film I didn't like apart from wishing Michael Biehn and Bruce Willis had bigger roles.
A very interesting and entertaining take on zombie movies. If you love over-the-top violence, non-stop action and zombies, you will love this film.
Death Proof (2007)
The 15 or so minutes of action in this film were great but it needed MUCH more to get me interested as I found Death Proof very boring to watch.
The film follows Stuntman Mike who kills hot girls for some reason with his car. 80 per cent of the movie is just girls talking about what girls talk about. It does has some nice cars and hot girls but that's about it.
I'm going through a Grindhouse phase at the moment which got me interested in seeing this movie, but after watching it, I'm in no hurry to watch it again.
