Saw (2004)
Best Movie I Saw At The Theatre This Year!
The last reviewer of this movie obviously didn't stay until the end, when Jigsaw was revealed. I swear, at the end of the movie, I thought I couldn't breathe. This movie was by far the greatest movie I saw at the theatre this year, and could beat Seed of Chucky or any other horror movies past or present (in the year 2004, of course. And the movies of the trailers shown before the movie).
I'm not going to question your intelligence by telling you the premise of the movie, because I can bet money that you know at least a little about the plot. Well, if you take it's trailer and follow it, you won't get the complete story at all, unlike most horror movies you see nowadays. As you can see, I have little to nothing to say about this movie, that's how much I enjoyed it, and that's how freaky it really is. Just go see it already!
WWF Judgment Day (1998)
I was there! October 18, 1998 from 6:00 PM until 10:30 PM at the Rosemont Horizon was the best PPV ever seen by man...
I have been to plenty of WWF events in Chicago since 1996, but this was the best PPV I have ever seen. The pyro, the action, the length. This card was flawless in almost every way. Some may say that my comment is biased knowing I was there, but seriously, you try watching Sunday Night Heat and the PPV live, while getting your billboard shown twice, and saying it sucked after that infamous line "YOUR FIRED!" (of course, the act goes on).
Mortal Kombat (1995)
Worst Adaptation of a Video Game Since Street Fighter or Super Mario Bros.
I remember back in 1995, walking into General Cinema and expecting to see something that I have waited four years for. Instead, I get this crap on screen that bares the name "Mortal Kombat", a name which is extremely too good for this over budgeted waste of space, time and money. I remember, after the credits started, me standing up; shocked and appalled, screaming, "THAT's IT!? I PAID $6.50 FOR THAT!? I CAN DO BETTER!" I honestly would, but I'm broke.
I remember playing this game in arcades (knowing it was made in Chicago made it more apealing) and loving every second. I was around 7 at the time, and I knew all the Fatalities. When this movie came out, I expected a show, I expected NOT to be jipped. There is so much wrong with this movie...
First, KANO DIES TO QUICK!
Second, Sub-Zero and Scorpion are HUMANS! One should have killed the other first, but NO! They had to get ripped off too.
Third, the man who directed this, I can bet, once he found out MK was a video game, he said, "What? It's only been two days since shooting and they already made a game about it!"
This movie is not for true hardcore fans. No blood, no gore, the humans are the biggest pxssies I can ever see, this movie is the stepping stone of the Fall of MK. When MK3 comes out, I won't be seeing it; but I can bet that the 13 year olds who claim to LOVE MK but only been playing since MK4 will love it. Enjoy it guys, it's as fake and stupid as you'll ever be. Full respect to Ed Boon, for he is the one who created it, no respect to the film crew for killing an empire.
Family Guy (1999)
I Love This Show...
This show is on every night on Adult Swim and I never miss an episode. This is in no way like the Simpsons. Peter Griffin is WAY more neglectful and idiotic. Maggie doesn't plan world domination and Bart isn't a brain dead idiot.
Anyway, this show is suprisingly funny, that means something will all the sudden happen and you'll end up laughing so hard that you'll probably die.
