Quarry (2016)

Excellent Writing, Acting and Production Quality
17 September 2016
I really enjoy Quarry so far. First two episodes have told a story nicely. Everything that the main character does makes sense (for a broken lost soul).

I highly recommend this show. It makes sense. I hope that as the deeper story unfolds, it maintains it's intelligent story telling.

The end of episode two left me worried about the course of the story, but I will just have to wait and see what happens like everyone else.

So far so good though. I rated this a ten and hope it lives up to the confidence I have in the writing.

Also hats off to the main characters acting. Top notch!! Logan Marshall-Green and Jodi Balfour are fantastic, but the cast is filled with great talent all giving the performances of their lives. No matter what I know they (and everyone else) will look back on their work in this series as some of their best.

Direction is seamless and the production moves along at a nice pace as well.

Again Top Notch best of the best TV... so far.

The Trip (I) (2010)

As Interesting as a Dinner Party
23 December 2011
The story line on the IMDb page for this film sums up the plot pretty well. Nothing much more there.

Watching this movie was much like suffering through an incredibly boring dinner party, where incredibly boring guests bore you with incredibly boring stories about their incredibly boring and self involved lives.

I am normally not so harsh in my opinions of another's art but this was just awful and I want my time back. I cannot believe anyone spent the money to produce such drivel.

Worst of all is that if you suffer through it waiting for it to reach a point or apex you will be waiting just as long as I did and will more than likely want your time back but alas there is no turning back the clock.

Save yourself the empty feeling and skip this one.

Stranger things have happened

My review of this title will be short and to the point.

I agree with other reviewers in the sense that the screenplay...

really could have benefited...

from a little more development and thought.

Where I disagree is that I still found it to be a film...

worth watching and interesting enough to hold my attention.

In a time of cookie cutter... element reproduction, this film is at the very least unique and that is a big plus in my book.

Also Ron Perlman did a great job as usual.

On a Side note The IMDb requirement that A review must contain at least 10 Lines is bologna :)
