Old School Horror. A creeping sense of dread...

Ti West's finest film to date. This features well rounded characters and an old school sensibility. Not as old school as The House of the Devil though. The lead(s) play their parts well and the house itself feels like it has a million secrets to tell.The tension and sense of dread build low and slow and we,as the audience, aren't treated as idiots. being treated as such also means that the questions it raises and the answers may not be as black and white as the influx of current horrors have made us used to getting. Definitely worth a watch but probably not for those who like to 'facebook' their way through an entire film.
