Baby Reindeer (2024)
Boring and repetative
Looking into 10/10 reviews to be honest I'm trying to find out - What's happening to our world? Do you really find this absurdity as a something good?
I struggled through the first 3 episodes. It was not at all interesting or compelling. I kept waiting for something to happen to hold my interest. It was the same dragged out story of a disturbed woman obsessed with a bartender. You can only play the same theme a certain number of times before the story gets old. Lacking depth the story has nothing to appeal to the viewer. The production seemed amaturish. Technical aspects were okay. It just did not have enough production value to hold the viewers attention. There are so many other worthwhile programs available to watch.
Suburgatory (2011)
Not at all clever or funny in any way
I really don't understand all the rave reviews for this series. It's a complete waste of talented cast members. The writers of this series missed the mark. It reminds me of a cartoon that was on after school or on saturday. This Wonder Years wanna be is trite and over the top with the ridiculous way the characters are portrayed. It is hardly believeable which makes it so ridiculous. All of the interactions are absurd. The writers should have run a few focus groups before releasing this terrible show. I can only conclude that this show was intended to be a space holder on a time slot that doesn't get viewers.
Kill or Be Killed: Suburban Showdown (2024)
He could have just driven away
Spencer is guilty. He was in his truck and could have just driven away. Instead he grabbed his gun and confronted David by exiting his vehicle. There is no self defense in this scenario. Spencer is guilty of 2nd degree murder. The jury got it wrong.

Catastrophe (2015)
Not a comedy
I could only make it through 2 seasons. I gave it more than enough time to reveal whether it was worth watching. It's only value was as background noise while I worked on the computer. Not only is it not funny. It is boring. Two people have a one-night stand and embark on a relationship. Other than that there is not much going on to hold a viewers interest. It's an unfunny boring show about nothing. The entire cast of characters are unremarkable. The lack of character development creates a show about uninteresting interactions. No one cares about a show that is barely more than a mundane reflection of their own life.
For All Mankind (2019)
Becoming unwatchable
Each season is worse than the last. What started out as a compelling sci-fi series about space exploration is turning into a soap opera of a show. The first two seasons I rated the show a high seven. Season three dropped to a six. This season is a five with two episodes left. At this rate it will be a four by the end of the season. The toxic drama and backstabbing is what is brining down the rating. When I watch a program I want to be entertained. I want to watch a story that is thought provoking. What I don't want to see is a program reflective of the awful reality of everyday life. Coniving two faced people are what I have to deal with everyday at work. I certainly do not want to see it when I want to be entertained.
The Lazarus Project (2022)
12 Monkeys is way better
Season 2 of the Lazarus Project has been just like so many other highly rated shows. Call if the sophmore jinx or whatever. Season 2 has become boring and predictable. I guess the writers aren't able to keep the ball rolling from Season 1. I can't see this lasting more that 3 seasons. The plot line is too weak to sustain. I would not be surprised if this was the last season and that The Lazarus Project is cancelled. This season has been more of background noise than anything that is really interesting. 12 Monkeys relates to time travel in an effort to stop a mass extintion plague from spreading. Every episode was interesting. The plot line including the twists kept the show fresh. The Lazarus Project is quickly exceeding the best by date.
Welcome to Wrexham (2022)
Sophmore dip
Welcome to Wrexham is suffering from a common ailment of many shows. First season was lighting in a bottle. The second season is not so much. It's like the writers ran out of stories to tell about Wrexham Football. Season one was an 8. Season two is a 6. Special in season one. Boring and mediocre in season 2 At this rate season 3 will be unwatchable. It's odd that the writers can't make it more interesting. This show is like many other shows. The can't sustain. There are only a handful of shows that can claim consistent success. Justified, Ozark, The Sopranos come to mind. Even Stanger Things has become a show that is no big deal if you miss an episode or two.
Invasion (2021)
Rooting for the aliens
Well you have to credit the producers of this boring turd of a show. Season 1 was promising. Season 2 I wish the aliens would just put us out of our misery and end this show. Of the cast of main characters there is not one that is likeable, and several that border on pathological in their behavior. You would think that facing anihilation would bring out the best as they battle a common enemy. In this case it has brought out the worst. Again credit to the producers for putting together a cast of characters that is second to none for being the worst. I recommend skipping this waste of time and watching War of the Worlds instead.
Steve Byrne: Champion (2014)
What happened to this guy?
He used to be hilarious. After the first two jokes the show devolved into an offensive cringefest. I guess he hasn't been able to develop new material. He just went from one stereotype to the next in an attempt to be funny. I can see the anti political correct crowd embracing this type of humor, but it just got to a point where everything he said was just blatant marginalizing of certain people for the sake of laughs. To take advantage of the differences between people is nothing less that bigotry and hate and anyone that finds it funny is lacking in character. I ended up turning it off. Since it was free on Tubi I only lost time but now I see why it was on a free platform.
2000 Mules (2022)
There's no pony
Former President Ronald Reagan used to tell a joke that shined a light on individuals with unrealistic - if not delusional - expectations about one thing or another.
There are several renditions. A slimmed down version has a father taking his son to a psychiatrist in order to treat the boy for his unbreakably starry-eyed sense of optimism.
The psychiatrist decides to take the boy to a room piled to the ceiling with horse manure thinking it would repulse him. Instead, the boy climbs to the top of the pile and starts digging.
When the psychiatrist asks what he's doing the boy says, "With all this manure, there must be a pony in here somewhere!"
The believers of the Big Lie about the 2020 election are like that.
Ozark (2017)
Not a likeable character in the bunch
The series was very entertaining. Although, rarely is there a story where all of the characters are unlikeable. This series ended with every character, with the exception of the daughter, being a total a-holes.
Letterkenny (2016)
Gets old fast
After you're watched a few episodes its all the same old schtick. It wouldn't be so bad if not for the excrusiatingly tedious dialog.
Light of My Life (2019)
An hour too long
This film was too long for the actual content it presented to the viewer. The sad part is that there should have been more to the story. Affleck should leave the writing to someone more qualified. His direction is somewhat questionable as he was not able to pump up a very poor script. Hopefully he has learned that a script and a film need to tell a story.
Sense8 (2015)
Come on with that ending
I enjoyed the series for the most part. The premise was unique and entertaining. Technically impressive from top to bottom. The last half hour of the series was a real stinker. Trite and cliche to the max. I found it so bad that I rated the series a point and a half lower than normal.
Super Troopers 2 (2018)
Mediocre at best
The sight gags were derivative. The script and direction made for a film that was anything but compelling. I found myself not even watching at times. At the end of the film I thought to myself, "What did I just see?" If there was a plot it sure wasn't evident. A bright spot was seeing Lynda Carter. She is as beautiful today as she was during her Wonder Woman days.
Don't Think Twice (2016)
Don't think twice about watching this
The entire film can be summed up by one of the statements made about half way through this snooze fest. "It's like when something sounds funny, but it isn't funny".
