Dark Places (2015)
Not brilliant, but still a good, underrated, movie
I went to the movies last night to watch Insidious 3, but remembered the disappointment of the second one, and decided to give this one a chance.
So, with few to none expectations, it was a pleasurable surprise. The story was captivating. The film was mysterious until the end, good acting, and nice edited. The only thing that i found unnecessary was a little part in the ending.
Obviously it's not a piece of art, but for nowadays flicks, this is a good movie, i find 6.3 classification too underrated so I'm gonna go with 8 to boost it up a little.
It could have been even better, but i guess today's movies is all about money, good directors and studio budgets go to crap childish super heroes movies.
The Cabin in the Woods (2012)
horrible horror movie or absurd boring comedy?
Not sure if Cabin in the Woods was supposed to be an horror movie or an comedy/satire movie. Yet, it fails both ways. As an movie expert, i must say that, in this film, the only derivation from horror it's the word to describe it: horrible. Unless you're a 13 year boy with a lot of SWAG and YOLO, this picture won't mean anything to you. In spite of having an original, different plot from the other horror movies, it just "goes bananas". And i'm just assuming that this was not supposed to be a comedy, because if it was, the word horrible isn't enough. The zombies, the unicorns, clowns, wolves... it's more cheesy than the cheesecake factory. The good thing about this movie is the runtime. If you don't want to see a movie that will take you 2 hours in front of the screen and make you think or discuss ideas after it, this is the movie for you. Pure lame, cheesy Hollywood entertainment right in your face.
