The Art of Getting By (2011)
what was the point
the previews weren't that interesting but me and my friends showed up at the theater, and this was the only movie showing that i wouldn't have missed the beginning of. so i got my ticket. sat down and watched the previews and then the opening credits roll. i was like okay maybe it'll do artist some justice. it did for the fact that they were good at what they did. other than that this movie tries to be indie and artsy and fails. its boring and has no point. my friend who watched it tried to figure out the plot. and came to the conclusion that there is non. the movie had its dry comedy, pointless drama, and predictable plot twist. this film is not worth watching unless you want to see the great cast that they picked. that was the best part.
The Last Song (2010)
The last song is a beautiful story of a troubled teen and her love life and her father.
Miley Cyrus shows she can do more than sing and dance. She does a great job as troubled Ronnie. Although some of the more dramatic scenes with her in them are not the best acting shes ever done she does a promising job. The rest of the cast does a great job as well.
I haven't read the book but i hear people talking of the differences. Most people think the movie was written after the book was released, Nicholas Sparks wrote the movie for Miley Cyrus and then preceded to make a book out of the movie. so the differences are simply authors choice. If you're a person who wont watch a movie because of an actor this is a movie you should give a chance.
It's a beautiful love story full of drama and love. and worth every penny
The overall plot is good, the acting is great, the action is there. I have been wanting to see this movie since i first saw the preview, especially when I saw the actors cast to portray the characters.
Tip Harris and Chris Brown give excellent comeback performances. Don't let there past come between you and a good movie. It was a wonderful to hear Idris Elba's natural accent.
Despite the critics opinions the movie is good and has a twist too it. If you give the movie a chance and build your own opinion about it you would actually like it
The movie does what it's supposed to and entertains you. And makes you like watching it.
Madea Goes to Jail (2009)
It gets better the fourth or fifth time around
I went to the theatre to see this film and was disappointed. The movie seemed to just go through the motions and not really develop and the plot seemed random. There was a serious main plot that had multiple funny bits in between, but the funny took away from the good stuff. that was throughout.
that was what i kept seeing the first couple times i watched the movie after about the fourth or fifth time the plot seemed to mellow out and flow like it should.
Before you make quick assumptions about the movie just because it is a Tyler Perry film, watch it like you would any other movie, with no assumptions.
