Edge of Tomorrow (2014)
With the same concept as Groundhog Day and Source Code, what could possibly go wrong?
===SPOILER FREE REVIEW===
Edge of Tomorrow is a 2014 film starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and is directed by Doug Liman, the same man behind the unforgettable 'Bourne Identity'. The movie has the same concept or idea as Groundhog Day and Source Code. You die, and repeat the same day over and over until you get it right. You would almost think it was a poor concept by now, but Doug Liman managed to do something special with it. Doug managed to make an action packed thrill ride that you don't want to forget. He put the setting in a battle ground, somewhat similar to D-Day but in the modern day world, and added some of the most creepy looking aliens as the 'bad guys'. It all sounds like a concept used in many films these days, but trust me when I say this, this film is one of the best things that has happened to Sci-Fi in the past ten years. I guess it must be something with experiencing the same event over and over from different angles that made this film so special, I don't know, but it's not something you will want to miss. Seeing Tom Cruise's character going from a weak soldier to one bad-ass fighter is not something you will want to miss either. The whole film is just a really fun thrill ride, and not even my words can explain the level of awesomeness this film had. If you were to ask me how I would describe it, I would probably say something like this: "Epic. Awesome. Mind-Blowing. Unoriginal yet original." etc.
Man, this review might not have told you much, but all I can say is that you (the reader) HAVE to see this film. You'll regret it if you don't.
Final verdict (for me based on level of enjoyment I got from the film) = 10/10
Pornopung (aka Crack, Back and Sack or Shavenballs) is a film about 24 year old Christian who leaves his hometown, Stavanger, to study in Oslo. He moves in with two guys, Leo and Karl, whom are both experts on picking up women, and Christian now has to face the hard truth about life.
Pornopung was hotly in the center of attention when it was released as a book back in 2003, and now the movie has come. All I can say is strap your seat belts on, because you're about to become a part of a hell of a ride. Pornopung contains some of the most graphic nudity I've ever seen in a sex comedy, and just this is why the movie is so shocking, yet so good. The movie has many, many hilarious lines and sequences, along with very many awkward and embarrassing moments, as well as it also handles the sex subject very well.
The film shows how the young adult culture is in Oslo in todays standards. Although not everything in the film happens as easily in real life, the film comes very close to showing how it is to be an young adult or late teenager in todays Oslo, and keep that in mind when I say that. Pornopung entertains as a teenage sex comedy, but manages to put a finger on anything more than the 'picking up girls/guys' culture that it portrays. Relationships, social success, gender roles, and various male rolled themes that emerge behind the well polished and well filmed images.
The actors and actresses in this film does very well on their part, and especially actress Marte Steren who made her film career debut with this film. The film itself is very light hearted, although it turns very dark and sad towards the end when it addresses the issue of rape.
Pornopung is everything you could expect from a sex comedy and more. It is utterly hilarious, awkward, sexy.. everything I had hoped a film like this would contain. I strongly recommend this film to everyone that can handle the sex topic well, as it is not just all about sex, but as it also teaches us all the negative sides about the subject as well.
I give 'Pornopung' a very strong 8 out of 10.
Django Unchained (2012)
Quentin Tarantino at his best
Django Unchained is a 2012 American western film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Set in the antebellum era of the Deep South and Old West, the film follows a freed slave who treks across the United States with a bounty hunter on a mission to rescue his wife from a cruel plantation owner.
Quentin Tarantino sure knows how to make movies, but I have never seen him make such a good movie since the Kill Bill films. Tarantino's great storytelling got me dragged deeply into the story and made me sit at the edge of my seat all the way through-out. Not only is this now one of my all time favorite films, but this is Tarantino at his best!
The film really made me realize how bad the slaves had it back then. The community and most of the world was out ruled by white people and racists, meaning that black people were not meant to be treated with as much respect as other people. The film shows an really interesting take on how it was back then, and it also shows that not everybody treated their slave badly.
I can confirm that Django Unchained is indeed a masterpiece. I have never seen so convincing acting in a western movie since True Grit. Christoph Waltz sure earned his Oscar well, and it surely the best film he's won an Oscar for yet. Quentin Tarantino sure knows how to bring a good story to the big screen, every single thing that happens, and even every single word that comes out of a person's mouth looks/sounds so convincing!
Django Unchained is sure a masterpiece indeed, but the film is also a bloodfest, not for the faint hearted. DU has one of the most epic shoot-out sequences I've ever seen in a western movie. It's not everyday you see a black man just killing everyone around him while blood is splatting all over the walls.
All this said, Django Unchained is definitely worth checking out, even if you're not a fan of the western genre, this is seriously Tarantino's best film yet.

One of the greatest teen movies ever made
In a line of many teenage films about teen love and teen problems, a good one has finally arrived.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is about the shy boy Charlie, who is a friendless freshman in high school. He later meets the older classmate Patrick and his stepsister Sam. With these people in his life, he can finally think about something else instead of thinking about his troubled past all the time. Sam and Patrick take him under their wings and show him the real world.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is probably one of the best teen movies made in years, not only because it shows how troubled teenagers can be, but because it follows the book 100%! There is not a single thing that was in the book, that wasn't in the movie, except for a few minor scenes, but those aren't really that important.
The famous Harry Potter star, Emma Watson, has proved that she has way more talents when it comes to her acting. Her connection with the main character is so strong that you would almost believe they weren't really acting. The movie itself is full of clichés, but the director is always able to fix these without any hesitations.
After seeing the trailer of this you would probably think the movie would have an light toned setting, and you are right there, but the movie can be very depressing at times, and some scenes are sad and emotional. The film has traumatic scenes which can be inappropriate for younger viewers to see.
All in all, The Perks of Being a Wallflower will keep you thinking, and wondering long after the credits has rolled. It makes you think about how you did/do in school, and how the people around you did/do. The film is worth a watch, and it is well worth your money.

Assassin's Creed III (2012)
Assassin's Creed 3, is the fifth game and the last, at least with Desmond (AC4 might be coming as well, but with different characters), and I've got to say, wow, I'm impressed with this game.
The story this time around is epic. It takes up to 10 hours maximum to finish the story, depending on what kind of player you are. The story is great, the new engine makes everything so much smoother and makes it look so much more beautiful and natural. I can not tell you how pleased I am with this game. Although many would argue the long intro of the game is completely useless, I think it was great and gave Haytham some really good character development.
Only bad thing you will stumble across is some glitches that will pop up while you're roaming the map, and that the game might freeze during loading screens. But do not worry, this isn't game breaking in any way, and I'm sure Ubisoft is releasing a patch soon as well.
Assassin's Creed 3 falls just behind Assassin's Creed 2 in the order of my favorite AC games.
What else can I say? Go and buy people! This is not a game you would want to miss!
Overall Rating of enjoyment I got out of the game: 10/10
The Godfather (2006)
One of my all time favorite video games
I haven't played this game since it launched back in 2006. I was in the video game stop the other day, and I saw that they had it for sale on the ps3. So I thought why not buy it since it's so cheap?
The godfather is one of my all time favorite video games, because it's set in new york, feels like a movie, has good cut-scenes and because it's dramatic. Sure, the graphics are way out-dated, but that isn't really a huge problem, as the game is 6 years old.
I really like how you get to see a different angle of the incidents that happen in 'The Godfather' film. Like for example: The scene where the old guy woke up in his bed with a horses head cut off lying right by his bed, ever wondered how that got there? Well, this game shows you who put it there, and how they put it there.
Only thing that keeps me away from giving this a 10 is the driving in the game. It's impossible to drive without crashing into some car every 30 seconds, and in missions where you have like 3-4 minutes to get your location, this can be very frustrating.
Nonetheless, the game is very good. It's beautiful (un less you hate the graphics), it's dramatic, it's full of action and suspense. But most important of all, it has a very interesting story line.

As we all know, this film is about the legendary explorer Thor Heyerdahl, and his crews epic journey through the Pacific ocean on a balsa wood raft.
The directors, Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg is known for making the movie, Max Manus, which was released in 2008. Max Manus is in fact, probably one of the best Norwegian films ever made. Now they're back with a new film, which beats their previous film down the boots.
This is a very extensive story, the filmmakers first and foremost had to work to simplify down to a comprehensible film format, without losing nerve of it all. Here they succeed exceptionally well! It's been a story of young people under the infinite universe, precisely in its allusive art, dramatic without overplaying, well recognizable human types and what they go through, without having to fuss with the clarity. And it is liberating, and humor sprinkled throughout.
The start of the film is nice and sets the grand tone. Heyerdahl is presented as a mule which dress dressed moving around New York looking for financial support. Here he meets Herman Watsinger, while the rest of the crew shows up in Peru. After half an hour the director pair Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg takes us out on the open sea. There will be drama, much of it is more dramatic than in Heyerdahl's own movie, as there is no advantage to have in mind.
The original Kon-Tiki expedition was so spectacular and so familiar, that it completely schematic belong to our national consciousness and the whole world.
Only that's an important element, now that the film will be sold both on the inside and outside. In addition, the directors, Rønning and Sandberg, uses a typical, well used internationally grip on the storytelling. The final five minutes, for example, is carried out in a un-Norwegian way. Which is good of course, as this helps the film to be very enjoyable.
People who already know the Kon-Tiki story very well, will notice some lack of details in the film, but don't you worry, the film still manages to keep everything that you've been expecting of it.
Now, that said, I enjoyed this film very much, and I do of course hope that you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Worst movie of the decade
This was pure crap. Only reason I watched it was because I am a action movie fan, and because it has famous actors (who usually act very well.) The camera quality was horrible, the CGI was horrible, acting was horrible, and worst of all, I didn't even understand what the film was even about. I can't believe I spent 1 hour and 30 minutes to watch this, just to find out that the movie had no meaning at all. Only reason I even got on here, was to warn you not to use money on this bullshit. I didn't even want to give this a 1, if a -10 rating had existed on IMDb, I would be happy to rate it that. This is a lousy wannabe action flick which is not even worth taking a look at. I would only watch this again if someone paid me for it. If you ever should come across this film anywhere, just remember that I warned you.

American Reunion (2012)
Jim, Kevin, Finch, Oz, and Stifler is back
I remember that I was 14 when I saw the first American Pie film with my high school buddies. We loved it. And now, after 13 long years, the group of friends Jim, Kevin, Finch, Oz, and Stifler is finally back on the big screen together! Me and my buddies has always been staying in touch, so we decided to go and see the latest American Pie film together. We thought it was hilariously funny.
The jokes were smart (but you could feel that they we're a little worn out after a while), it had loads of awkward moments, it had all the characters from the first film in it, and it had the most perfect ending possible to the American Pie series. One great thing is: Stifler is acting just like he used to back in American Pie 1 & 2! That was something my buddies and I really appreciated. The only thing that really kept me away from giving this a 10, was some of the worn out jokes. But don't worry, everything else was spot on!

Run and see people!
Explosions and dramatic action!
Varg Veum - At Night All Wolves Are Grey is the tenth Varg Veum film in a series of twelve. And this is the first time Varg Veum goes international. It is about the international arms trade this time. On the outskirts of Bergen an arms factory has an huge explosion. Many are killed, among others, and Varg's old friend.
After the explosion, the intensity of the movie starts to spread. Varg, and his pregnant girlfriend, Karin, are affected immediately by this. Someone breaks into their apartment, and threatens Varg's girlfriend, not only does he threaten her, he also kills the unborn baby by kicking Karin in the stomach. So it's a very personally involved Varg who goes to Budapest in Hungary, with far more than justice in his luggage, he is after revenge!
But not everything goes as planned, Varg gets tortured, the police shots heavily at him with machine guns etc. It just makes me realize how easy Varg think it's going to be while it's a very hard case to solve.
And as always, the actors/actresses acts very good in this film. And of course, the humorous interaction between Varg and police chief Hamre also livens up, as always hehe.
This film could've been right out of proportion. But it's not. The film is full of excitement, explosions, and dramatic action! This Varg Veum film, is the film in the series with most Action, Drama, and Excitement. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat through out the whole film, and when it's over, you just want to go back and see it again.
You won't be disappointed! Overall rating: 9/10
