I was reluctant to watch this show, as it just sounded like it would be campy and uninteresting. My thought was that Sherlock Holmes would be effectively useless nowadays what with all the technology the police have, so therefore I expected it to... not work.
However I was really, really wrong. This show is so immersive and captivating, and keeps you guessing continuously throughout each episode. The way that they have edited it makes it feel almost like a game, where evidence is displayed systematically before Sherlock works it out, it gives you time to piece the clues together and really just makes the show a hell of a lot more entertaining.
Also, the characters within the show are extremely likable - Sherlock being one of the most entertaining TV drama fronts I have ever seen.
Definite 10/10 from me.
Mike & Molly (2010)
Two and a half Men... with overweight people.
Seriously, most sitcoms being forced into the air nowadays are all just variations of past sitcoms. Every episode of every sitcom begins to look more and more like a different sitcom, and this is no different, in fact, the jokes in this show are pretty much recycled ones from TAHM. I know its from the same creators, but I really don't need a sitcom about Charlie Sheen being fat (Scratch that, that would be awesome.)
I'm not going to lie, when I saw this advertised I wanted to throw my TV out of the window, but I gave it a chance (As you do.) As expected, it's riddled with fat jokes, typical sex jokes and a clichéd romance. Yes, I really didn't enjoy it. The show does have redeeming features, such as Carl, Mikes best friend, he is a damn clichéd character, but he's a damn funny one. He and mike have some great moments, and honestly, they do make me laugh from time to time.
An average sitcom, that won't surprise you in any way, but will probably give you the odd laugh.
