This is historically accurate. Robert embodied Hitler like no one else . So much so it gaves me chills. First the historical accuarcies. I've got Hitler biography with me right. I shall read " Klara was pregnant again. At half past 6 on april 20th 1889 basically that little boy she gave birth too was Hilter, thats right little adolf.Hitler has sibling that died young or at a cry young age. This profoundly affected him and started his hatred for his. He adored his mother so much so that he openly wept at her funeral. When his farther died he felt nothing.drifting through life i enrolled in an art school hoping to become an artist. Just imagine for a second if he had succeeded as an artist. My god history good have been so different. So what I'm trying to say is this is the best mini series on Hitler. if you think its inaccurate thats only minor details.please email me philmoore2008@hotmail.com and ill debate you on Hitler because my biography is the most extensive you can find

This film is based on a novel about two Jesuit priests that go looking for their master in 17th century Japan. The priests are played by Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver. The master is played by Liam Neeson. First of all this film is beautifully shot it looks amazing in the shots of fog and beautifully shot images of the landscape of Japan. The religious themes are strong but you can see the real persecution of Christians that was around in Japan at the time. Scorsese really throws you in the deep end of the Christians struggles to maintain their faith and die or surrender to Buddhism in the Japanese world. The man who plays the interpreter for the priests is amazing. An incredible villain he tells things in such a way that you can understand where is coming from but still despise him. Scorsese who collaborated on the screenplay really knows how to tell a great story. Andrew Garfield is an amazing actor and shows so much depth to his character. You can feel his struggle to stay strong to the Christian faith. The cinematography is so hauntingly beautiful that it almost brought me to tears. Liam Neeson when he shows up finally tells an incredible tale of his persecution and his surrender of the Christian faith. He understands that the Christian faith has flaws, but we as an audience can't quite identify with the Christian faith of then than today because things have changed from back then. This is a truly great film that will be studied in film schools from years to come. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This is one of the best films I have ever seen.

wow simple story told in a very powerful way, 22 January 2017

This is a very powerful film told in three stages of a man's life. It starts with a young black kid growing up in 1980's Miami with a crack head mother and no father figure. A drug dealer named Juan takes Chirone under his wing and teaches him about being a man. We then see a teenager version he gets bullied at school for being different and gay. Later we see the fully fledged version now distant and looking for acceptance living in Georgia. This film is told in such a unique and quiet way it really sneaks up on you. The man who plays Juan is amazing as a mentor for the kid he is a drug dealer but he really takes care of him and teaches him the lessons of life. I have to mention the score which is beautifully done in orchestra and very moving. This film was based on a play on someone who actually experienced these things. No matter where you come from you can relate to this character. Just to walk in somebody else shoes for a movie of one hour forty five minutes could possibly prove life changing for you in just accepting different races and different people. This film could do really well at the Oscars i hope it does. I couldn't recommend this film highly enough. I give it my highest grade of five stars

This is a powerful film also with a lot of humor. Casey Affleck plays a man who becomes his nephews guardian when his brother dies. We see the relationship with the brother in flashback and another tragedy that afflecks's character must endure. This is a really touching and emotional film. Casey Affleck shows all emotions he can be funny, sad and violent at times. What his character has to go through is a lot and you can't help but feel for him. This film also has a lot of humor with his nephew and some very funny lines. This film really packs an emotional punch and feels very family orientated. The young boy that plays his nephew is very good and we could have a future star on our hands. Michelle Williams is also great as Affleck's former wife and she has a couple of really heartfelt scenes. This is one of the best films of the year beautifully directed and acted. I highly recommend this film

This is a stunning beautiful film that stars Emma Stone as an aspiring actress in Los Angeles that falls for a young jazz pianist played by Ryan Gosling. They dance and sing around l.a hot spots and it is magnificent to watch. Especially a tap dance number they do in front of a Los Angeles sunset. So many of the musical numbers are so well choreographed and beautifully done. The acting is terrific Emma Stone is magnificent it feels like her story when she was young struggling to try and make it as an actress and really trying her best to become a star. You can feel her struggle to succeed. Also Gosling has a real love for jazz and feels that is dieing and wants open his own jazz club. This film has feelings of nostalgia and a dreamer quality of wanting to succeed in the arts and doing what it takes to follow your passion. The film is beautifully directed by Damian Chazelle who also did the awesome Whiplash which i loved. The music was great every scene had me just smiling the whole way through. L.A looks beautiful in this film. This is the best film of the year and will win best picture at the Oscars. 5 stars

This is a film about a woman played by Amy Adams who is a linguistics specialist who gets recruited by the military to understand alien language. Aliens have arrived on earth in a ship and she goes to meet them to talk to them. Firstly this is one of the best sci films I've seen in a long time. It is interesting to see alien interaction. Amy Adams character also has a past where she lost a daughter, and it brings up painful memories for her. Jeremy Renner is also solid has a man working with Adams character to understand the aliens. The score in this is incredible and the cinematography is breathtaking to look at. For anyone who is a fan of sci fi will find this film really interesting and breathtaking to watch. The scenes where the talk to the aliens and thrilling and so interesting. So much is going on beneath the surface in this film. It is beautifully directed. This in my opinion is the best film I've seen this year. 5 stars

This is for sure one of Woody Allens better films set in Hollywood in the 1930's. A young man goes to Hollywood and asks his big shot uncle for any job. He gets one and then falls for his uncles assistant played beautifully by Kristin Stewart. She is also having an affair with his uncle. This film is beautifully shot, lovely cinematography and great jazz music. A love triangle ensues between the three and it is very fascinating to watch how it unfolds. Jesse Eisenberg is great very charming and charismatic on film. Kristin Stewart really stars here she really looks like she could have been in Hollywood in the 1930's. The dialogue as always with woody's films is great the music, the look of the film is fantastic its one of my favourite films of the year. I highly recommend it

This film is about a man who is on a space mission and there is some debris going on and around he gets hit and the crew leave him behind thinking he is dead. Matt Damon plays the lead character. He then realises he has to survive four years in space before they can get back to him. He only has a year's supply of food. So as a botanist he has to use his smarts to grow food for three years. This is a really enjoyable and fun film about a man who uses his humour and smarts to get by in space. Back on earth there a real public relations issue with NASA whether they can get there man home. Matt Damon has never been better, this is probably his best performance on screen. He shows a lot of heart and humour considering the situation he is in. Jessica Chastain is also very good as one of the crew members that left him behind. The cinematography in a space is amazing to look at. Ridley Scott has done an amazing job directing this film. This is one of the best movies of Oscar season. I highly recommend it.

This film is about Hugh Glass played brilliantly by Leonardo DiCaprio. He plays a frontiersman who after a bear attack gets buried alive and left for dead. He then goes a survival quest in search of revenge. Firstly the look of this movie is so amazing. The cinematography is some of the most beautiful to look at I've ever seen. The acting is really solid. Leo is incredible what he has to go through to survive in the wilderness is something to behold. He shows a lot of emotional depth and you can really feel his fight for survival. Tom Hardy is also great as the man who Hugh seeks revenge on. The score in this film is also really beautiful. The direction is amazing also from the director of Birdman. Its amazing to follow up a masterpiece with another one. This film is really interesting and has a lot of great stuff going for it. Again the cinematography is top notch, the acting is first class and the music is really well used. This is one of the best films of the year. It could easily win best picture at the Oscars. I highly recommend it,
