Walker, Texas Ranger: Bounty (1993)
This episode marks the first appearance of Noble Willingham's portrayal of C.D Parker who was played by Gailard Sartain in previous episodes and would also go on to play C.D for the remainder of the series.
"Spoilers" A young punk named Roy Buchannon robs an A.T.M Machine in Oklahoma and rides out to Fort Worth Texas to see his much nicer and innocent brother Ned Buchannon and they happen to run into Walker who was about to give a speeding ticket but Roy, who freaks out, shoots Walker's tire and drives off but he takes one of his uncle Ray's horses and is able to apprehend Roy. it is later discovered that Roy's motiv for robbing the A.T.M was to pay the bank and save his Father's farm after the banks screwed him and were threatening to take his farm.
After a heavy chase scene where Walker and Trivette are chasing Roy and lose him, we are introduced to the real bad guy of this episode Boone Waxwell played brilliantly by Bruce MgGill who is a bounty hunter. His job is to bring Roy back to Oklahoma because he had jumped bail but Waxwellhas other plans because it turns out he has knowledge of the money that Roy had stolen and demands he give it to him, when he doesn't, Waxwell shoots Roy down. Waxwell then sets his sights on Roy's girlfriend because he knows that she knows that Roy's brother Ned has the money and kidnaps her to force her into giving the info Waxwell wants. Walker and Trivette are al over Waxwell but can't arrest him because they have no proof of Roy's murder or his evil intentions. They soon figure out and Walker and Waxwell duel it out where Walker ends the fight by uppercutting Waxwell and knocking him out cold onto the hood of his car.
Great episode. The original cast was great as usual but the real show-stealer is Bruce MgGill who eats the scenery as Boone Waxwell I mean his charm, lines, and despicable nature make for a terrific villain that you just love to hate. My favorite moments of the episode are Uncle Rays jokes featured prominently, Alex's jealousy at the hospital when a flirty nurse comes onto Walker, and Walker tossing Trivette's computer into the garbage, Purposely I might add.
This episode was a great watch with some cool fighting scenes, Walker and Trivette's relationship growing, and Alex in a skirt. In this episode we hear Walker talk a little about his martial arts background.
"Spoilers" The episode starts off with two businessmen having tea in China and one of them is a congressman who is trying to squeeze a deal out of the other more respectable and ethical businessman who gets murdered because of his countless deal rejections. Walker's old friend from Vietnam comes for a visit but it turns out his business in Dallas is anything other than legitimate as he knew the businessman who was murdered and is seeking revenge along with his fellow triad group called the Yakuza.
Walker and Trivette are assigned to protect the revered congressman after some attempts on his life. It doesn't take long for Walker to realize that the congressman may be a scumbag who wants to force his wife to be a prostitute for money. The episode ends in a cool fight between Walker and his old buddy (Yoshi) because Yoshi has intentions of killing him which is not Walker's idea of justice so it comes down to an epic battle between the two martial arts masters n which Walker gains the victory and also beats up the congressman and arrests him.
Great episode! This would be the very first in the series where someone puts up a good math against Walker which was nice to see especially considering he's not that bad of a guy but just thirsty for payback. The humor between Walker and Trivette is there and becomes more nourishing as the series goes on. Uncle ray was instrumental as usual being the wise man with lots of knowledge about life.
Walker, Texas Ranger: Borderline (1993)
This is the very second episode of Walker Texas Ranger and I must say it was a brilliant watch. In only the second episode the relationship between Walker and Alex seems so strong and I give credit to their good acting and their chemistry. The relationship between Walker and Trivette is one-of-a-kind as well they are like polar opposites but work so wonderful together. Floyd Red Crow was instrumental as well.
"Spoilers" Alex is in the midst of prosecuting a scumbag who took out a police office but at the same time it seems an evil ex-sheriff Dewy Baker(Leon Rippy), has just been released from prison and seeks vengeance on the prosecutor who put him there, Alex Cahill. For awhile it's just mind games, (stalking, killing her horse), and when the time was right he kidnaps her and takes her to some cabin in the woods where no one would hear her scream and now Walker and Trivette must save the day.
One actor I have to give credit to is Leon Rippy who gives a very sinister performance as Dewy Baker with his messed up teeth and spikey hair really add to his menacing appearance. Great episode with suspense and a satisfying beatdown from Walker to Baker.
One of the most intense episodes.
This is one of those episodes that really keeps you watching all the way through because it was that damn good.
I have to say that Wayne Pere who played Victor Larue was great at making you hate him and he delivered a terrifying and sinister performance. It really felt like Walker and Alex were going to die at the hands of Larue but of course Walker came through and gave one of the most satisfying beat downs ever given to a villain.
This episode featured a return of Victor Larue from the 2nd season of Walker Texas Ranger. "spoilers" Victor Larue is a vicious Criminal who in his last appearance on Walker Texas Ranger kidnapped Alex Cahill and some other innocent people for money and in the climax of the episode Larue stuck Alex and the others in a car compactor in which they were almost killed but walker saved them and took down Larue. In this episode Larue gets released from prison on a technicality and begins taunting Alex and Walker just waiting for the right time to extract his revenge on them.
Eventually Larue finds Walker's ranch where Walker was hiding her and ties up Alex and knocks Walker out cold. While Alex was tied up on the bed Larue took Walker out to the badlands and tied him up but Larue doesn't stop there seeing as he had a jar full of scorpions reserved especially for Walker. Larue then opens the jar of scorpions and pours them onto Walker's body. Walker's horse Amigo soon springs Walker from his predicament and Larue returns to his captive Alex. Larue then attempts to get freaky with Alex but Alex's knight in shining armor returns and gives a struggling beat down to Larue which ended in Larue getting kicked out of Walker's window that he is going to have to replace. Larue gets sent back to prison and Walker and Alex hopefully got it on.
My favorite nicktoon on nickelodeon!!
Ahh the memories of this show just make me feel warm inside, This show really takes me back to when everything was simple. This show stars the title character Doug funny who's just an average kid with a wild imagination. This show shows most of the struggles that kids dealt with in elementary school. In this show we see all of doug's imaginations in which some good and some are bad. Along in this show are other awesome characters like his blue and hip best "human" friend Skeeter valentine, his other best friend, porkchop his dog, his love interest Patti mayonaise, and his arch rival Roger klots. The things I love about all of the character are that Skeeter is very funny, kinda dumb, but loyal and has doug's back, Porkchop is so smart and also always has doug's back and he's almost human because he walks most of the time, Patti is a sweet girl who is very nice to doug but I am a little bummed that they never kissed, And my favorite character Roger who is a bully and a asshole with a good heart and I think deep down he cares for doug and is one of his good friends. Overall this show is a 9/10 for me I really dislike the Disney version that one sucks do yourself a favor people and don't watch that one and stick to the classic nickelodeon version.
One of the most powerful and moving movies of all time.
I first watched this movie on TV when I was about 8 and just had to ask my mom to rent it and I've watched it a dozen times ever since, My mom never let me watch the pottery scene when I was little lol. Anyway ghost tells the story of a manhatten yuppie couple Sam wheat(Patrick Swayze) and Molly Jensen(Demi Moore) who have just moved into a fancy apartment and wanna spend the rest of there lives together. There is that classic love pottery scene I was talking about where Sam and molly really show how much they love each other while the classic tune unchained melody by the righteous brothers plays on the disc jockey. Sam works at a bank along with his friend Carl bruner(Tony Goldwyn) and Sam notices something fishy going on at the bank when Sam discovers too much money is magically appearing in his accounts. Sam Molly are walking home from a movie later that night until a man Willy Lopez(Rick aviles) approaches them with a gun and asks Sam for his wallet and they fight and the gun goes off and shoots Sam. Sam can be seen running down the street but it's his ghost as he looks down at his dead body. Molly is saddened deeply by his death and later Sam's ghost sees his killer break into there apartment to look for Sam's wallet. Sam then teams up with a psychic lady Oda Mae brown(Whoopi Goldberg) to help him connect with molly to warn her that she's in danger from a similar fate. Soon Sam finds out that his so called friend Carl was behind Sam's murder all along and that he hired Willy to steal his wallet which had the mac code for Sam's account. Sam cannot move things and watches in disgust while Carl hits on Molly. Sam then turns to another ghost who haunts the subways of new york and is able to touch things and Sam ask's for his help and eventually learns to move things with his mind. Sam then takes Oda Mae to pose as a a fake customer by the name of Rita miller to close the account that Carl was supposed to get four million dollars. The bad guys then soon come after Molly and Oda Mae and Sam has to protect them and both bad guys end up dead and taken to hell and finally Sam gets one last moment with his beloved one before going to heaven.
One of my most favorite movies of all time it is a mixture of romance, action, comedy, and thriller. Patrick swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg all give brilliant performances. Tony Goldwyn and Rick aviles were also terrific as the villains of this story. Classic movie and highly recommend it for everyone.
Walker, Texas Ranger (1993)
My favorite show of all time!!
I first started watching walker Texas ranger when I was 13 and have been in love with it ever since I know it's cheesy at times but it's always fun seeing the bad guys getting there asses handed to them on every episode. The show is about a Texas ranger named Cordell walker (Chuck norris) who is kind and gentle to his friends but a mean s.o.b to the bad guys and will do whatever it takes to bring a criminal to justice. Alongside of him are his partner James trivette (Clarence gilyard) who is a retired dallas football star who busted his shoulder and is now a ranger. Walker has a little love interest in the show with a.d.a alex cahill (Sheree j. Wilson) who is a very smart and attractive woman and she wants to bring a criminal to justice just as much as walker and his partner. Usually at the end of every episode they hang out at a bar called C.D'S bar and grill owned by retired Texas ranger cd parker who is also a good friend of walkers. One of my favorite things about this show is that walker never hesitates to meet the bad guy when they wanna meet him somewhere and he shows no fear. Clarence gilyard and Noble willingham provide the comedy in this show and are a blast to watch. And Sheree j. Wilson is just great as alex and there are a lot of w/a moments in this show that just bring joy. All in all my favorite show of all time 10/10.
Walker, Texas Ranger: Standoff (1995)
One of my favorite episodes because of robin sachs.
This episode was really great and had a little suspense mainly because of robin sachs who played the dangerous and skillful master of disguise Phillipe brouchard. This episode is basically about a Mexican presidential candidate rafel mendoza who is a target of death to a dangerous assassin brouchard(robin sachs) and after Walker saves mendoza from being shot Brouchard gets a bunch of men and plan to take a charity ball hostage and kill mendoza. Sachs was really walker's greatest enemy because he didn't overreact like a lot of the villains on walker and he almost killed cd but in the end walker has to win because it's a TV show but I still love it.
Rocky V (1990)
Why all the haters??! very good movie and highly underrated.
All I can ask is why did so many people including Sly himself dislike this movie? I think people miss the point of this movie and that is that Rocky (sylvester stallone) didn't cherish the money and fame it was his family and friends that he loved and he didn't need money to make him happy. I know it was bull to see him lose all his money and he won't be able to support his family like he used to but Rocky proved that he can make it without being rich. Anyway this movie takes place right after rocky's most dangerous fight with Ivan drago. Paulie (Burt young) gives power to rocky's accountant and Rocky loses all his money.
Now Rocky, Adrian(talia shire and his son Rocky jr.(sage stallone) move into Paulie's house in Rocky's old neighborhood and he keeps getting hassled by a slimeball fight promoter named George washington duke and apparently he wants to make rocky money by having him get in the ring again but rocky refuses because he knows that duke is part of the dirty part of the boxing business. Rocky walks into his old trainer Mickey's gym in one scene and starts hallucinating and he sees when Mickey used to train him and this is probably my favorite scene in rocky 5.
Anyways a young and hungry fighter Tommy gunn(Tommy morrison) come into rocky's gym and makes a bad impression to rocky and he asks rocky to train him and after saying no a couple times Rocky decides to train tommy gunn. Meanwhile rocky jr is getting bullied at school and feels ignored at home by rocky. Jr. starts learning how to fight and then finally beats up the school bully.
Things seem to be going pretty well between rocky and tommy but then duke starts to manipulate tommy into fighting for him and tommy then starts to change his attitude and we later see he basically used rocky and all tommy cared about was money. After tommy gunn beats the world heavyweight boxing champ Union cane(who won the title by it being manufactured) tommy is getting heat from the fans for not thanking rocky instead of duke. This anger's tommy and he feels he is in rocky's shadow and Duke manipulates him by saying that rocky never cared for him. In the meantime rocky and his son reconcile and they are home team again.
So tommy and the press go to the bar that rocky and his friends hang out and challenges rocky to fight. Rocky nearly laughs in his face and refused to fight tommy. It wasn't until Tommy physically assaulted Paulie when rocky decided to fight him and Rocky and tommy brawl in a street fight and rocky wins in the end. Very good movie and I am one of the few people who like this movie and as much as I like rocky 3 and 4 I feel that rocky 5 was more realistic and wanted to go back to the roots of the first 2 movies. 10/10
Rocky IV (1985)
Another great sequel!!!
You would think that by this time the series would go downhill but it doesn't. Sylvester stallone, Talia shire, Burt young, Carl weathers and introducing Dolph lundgren all star once again in Rocky 4. This movie takes place a little after the third movie after Rocky had just faced for what has to be his most powerful opponent Clubber lang. A Russian fighter by the name of Ivan drago (Dolph lundgren) comes to America with his wife and the Russian politicians. Rocky's now good friend Apollo creed wants to fight this new Russian because he feels that the russians are trying to make them look bad. Apollo believes that once your a fighter that is who you are and people can't change. Rocky doesn't really like the idea of Apollo fighting Drago right away because they know nothing about him.
Apollo decides to make one hell of an entrance before his fight with Drago but in the end he won't be making much of an exit. Drago kills apollo literally in the second round and rocky goes into another depression and he decides to fight Drago in Russia and of course Adrain (Talia shire) disapproves because she saw what Drago is capable of. Rocky said that he's a fighter and thats the way he's made and he goes to Russia without Adrian and brings Paulie (Burt young) and tony duke(Apollo's trainer Tony burton) and Duke trains rocky in Russia.
Rocky has no real equipment in Russia and Rocky trains ghetto like sawing wood and chopping down trees and running up a mountain while Drago on the other hand has all the high tech equipment and sparring partners and he takes steroids. Adrian eventually comes down to Russia to support rocky. The biggest fight of rocky's life is now on and at first the Russian fans boo and jeer at rocky but it wasn't until they saw rocky's determination and heart that they started cheering for him.
Really good 4th entry in the series and this had my favorite music. Dolph lundgren was very intimidating and mysterious as the Russian fighter Ivan drago. Yeah this movie was probably the most unrealistic in the series but thats what makes it fun. Love it 10/10
