The Notebook (2004)
Exactly what we need right now...
I am really surprised at the panning this flick has received. I thought the performances were fantastic (and both Rachel and Ryan are Canucks to boot!!), the story was touching, no matter how cliché it was.
With all the s**t going on in the world right now, this is exactly the type of story that we all need to take us away, to remember the type of love that really doesn't exist between married couples these days, or at the very least is few and far between! These were the times of our grandparents, and the thought that it is possible for 2 people to meet, fall head over heels and be together forever is beautiful!
This film was wonderfully shot, and was full of whimsy. I can't wait to see it again! I haven't stopped thinking about it, and the happy feeling I had when I left the theatre.
